WTF is wrong with subaru lately, its like they lost hope in design or the head design director is blind or something, I saw online the new impreza on the new york auto show and its like the bug eye fiasco all over again WTF subaru, you have something good going on with the STI right now, great looking body line, great looking headlights and wider fenders then you do this sad.

i disagree. this impreza is easily the best looking design since 2001. i once had a bugeye WRX, and it wasnt for its looks, lol. keep in mind the impreza at the NY auto show is a base model, WRX/STi haven't been shown, nor will they for some time. compare the new impreza to a base 2008-2011 impreza, and its lightyears better.

I forget what you've done to it, but obviously, if I had a 2.5RS....well, it would be STi'd out the ass by now, from engine, all the way down to authentic JDM STi badging / body panels.

The only thing I'd rather have, subaru wise? An actual 22B.
I have done...
  • Light Weight Pulley
  • Ground Kit
  • AEM Intake w KN Cone Filter
  • RaliTek Spark Wires
  • CF Hood
  • KYB GR-2 Struts
  • H&R Spring
  • Brembo Rotor
  • SS Brakeline
  • '07 WRX Seats
  • Borla Rep Header
  • Highflow Cat
  • SPT Axleback
and list just goes go on and on... but that's all I can think top of my head. I see a lot of ppl do STI engine swap, so I wanna do H6 (EZ30) swap w maybe turbo w 6sp STI tranny. 22B body w Morertt headlights, Recaro S203 seats and interior... BUT again, that's looking around $15k plus...

I think Subaru still has some ways to go in the styling department. That hasn't been their strength lately.

LOL thanks. I wish, I can work for them... BUT sadly most of Subaru designing is in Japan or in Europe

true, subaru styling is...below average. but the new impreza is the least-below average impreza in a while, or the most average, which is only a compliment relative to their recent designs. the 05-09 legacy is pretty good looking tho (again, its all relative).

well thats your opinion I'll respect that, but just like what most people on the other topic ... next to toyota, subaru is my second choice on car manufacturer, thats why when they announced toyota and subaru joint venture i was on it like whit on rice .

We're due to see it soon since the launch is around a year away for Japan now at least. If there's any large summer shows that's when most likely. If not, they can't wait beyond one of the last Tokyo shows, but they fall in December this year iirc.

The new impreza is doing what it was meant to do, cater to the masses. It looks vanilla and plain for that reason, for those who don't want an ounce of flash. It's the WRX/STI models that when we'll see what they can do.

In fact, the only thing stopping me from a Toybaru is either the new STI or EVO (if Mitsu doesn't gut it like many are thinking).

I've been watching this ad for a while: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/nv...300407312.html

I can afford this donor, but no space, little subie experience, and no wiring skills... So that would mean lots more money...

EG33's were what 230ish hp?

If I'm not mistaken, I thought I read that part of the agreement with Toyota is that Subaru must wait a year after the FT-86 before releasing their model.

They probably also have a non-compete agreement so I wouldn't be surprised if Subaru can't release any concepts until the FT-86 is out and finished.

There are few shop that do wiring for you. You just send both of wires and they'll slice and connect em together.

and yup, 230hp/228tq. Only crappy part bout SVX is it only came w AT. Local guy put MT (6sp STI) on his SVX. How? IDK, I should ask which ecu running, cuz I highly doubt running w AT ecu.

Also heard that EG engine is easy to make it bigger bore size and get more tq than EZ... but the fact, IDK.
