Apparently it's only Buell using them?

Also Center Lock wheels also limit your aftermarket choices to $$$ brands

http://www.rays-msc.com/html/racing_wheels.html

(Special Order Only Please Ask!) If Rays doesn't want to scare you off by listing the prices, they must be rather expensive. Compare with: http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/2009/pro...e=VOLK_RE30BMP Where the cheapest RE30's are 83000 Yen ($1014.30US). Each!!!

Perimiter Disk Breaks

Here I have found a photo online for all the lazy folks on here.

I'm adding photos of the breaks on bikes. Buell bikes are kewl but don't know if I would own one.

enjoy~

Toyota FT-86 ~ SCION FR-S

It's obvious they are planning two cars on the same chassis, and if you add the Scubi that's planned that brings a total of 3 cars built on the same chassis.

Further, the SCION is dedicated more to the track day racer/drifter, with the FT-86 more towards the daily driver/sport model.

So what remains to be seen is how will the Subaru version be engineered and marketed.

Will it be somewhere between these two, or will it be placed at either end of the spectrum?

Subaru(watered down FT-86)~ FT-86 ~ FR-S ~ Subaru(supersport FR-S)

Any guesses???

-----Personally I like this CG render the best of what we have seen so far on the net including that yellow monster which looks way too much like the SCION version. Of course we do have to chuck those ugly rims though!!!

Meh....HRE's are $1500 EACH and that's in standard lug configuration. And that Subaru render above is hideous.

those in-wheel brakes may be interesting and exotic, but not very convenient. Imagine going to an autox, or track, and trying to quickly change a set of wheels. Normal wheels you can change in about 20 minutes (relaxed, no rushing), with those you would have to unmount the calipers every time. On top of that, each wheel would have to come with a pre-installed rotor (extra $ there).
The only upside is that you could have a race-spec rotor installed on your race wheels for track use, and a plain one on your daily-driving wheels.

I happen to not like leather seats. I'm happy for me as well.

I have no problem with heated power leather seats, or sun roofs, or 10 speaker stereo systems w/subwoofer, or bluetooth capable touch screen dvd gps systems. I'd just much prefer if none of those things come standard (read: required). I'm a simple kind of guy, and I prefer simple things. Just a personal preference.
I second that. I do like my gadgets, and toys, but would like a simple interior, with simple features. This car is for driving, not pimping

Ha, that is a good point. I think we can all expect the production version to be much more timid though.

LOL

I really liked it.

Gee you all are making me feel like I'm the one who likes all the ugly concepts, what with me being the only one liking MkII and all. :/

I have to be honest though. The MkIII is growing to me.

I still like the MkII better but I definitely don't dislike the MkIII as much. At least not until I see the rear again... haha.
