His skill has improved and his shooting range has finally been more consistent. However, I still prefer MJ's tenacity to the game, which Kobe is very close or damn well mimics MJ's game. They just have killer instinct.

Anyway, good thing Batman is better than Superman.

As part of the collective bargain agreement signed in 2012, teams had 5 years to cut a player already signed to that date, from their team and even though they needed to still pay the player, they could remove the entire figure from their salary cap allowing them to have all that new free space to get new players/ make new moves.

It's different styles and types of players. MJ had a killer instinct and was better than ANYONE on how to turn that instinct and angryness into wins/elevated play, etc.

Kobe had the same instinct, but he did not know how to use it as efficiently as Jordan. He could sometimes turn it into killer instinct/elevated play, but could also use it as detriment/cause of team loosing.

Lebron does not have the killer instinct in the sense, that to him, an open teammate is a better option than him double/triple covered as a last shot to win game. This has sometimes made him tentative on what to do at end of games... BUT having said that, the last 2-3 years he has really matured in that aspect and now decides either/or with great confidence and actually make the correct choice more times than not. He is now able to win a game with a walkaway three, a drive to the basket, etc...

It's funny the excuses some people make for his great numbers. Each of his last 7 years his FG % has increased, and that includes his 3 pt %, shot selection, mid range jumper. He now has a nasty fadeaway, post up game. He might not be as elegant as Kobe/MJ, but the tools of his offensive game are getting to the limitless point as he makes more and more jumpers.

That does not mean MJ/Kobe are better than him. It means they are different styles. What will dictate at the end of the day who is better is the total package. We'll see in a few years how it all ends up.

Why bother trying to murder a player? Just enjoy them for what they are. I respect Kobe and all he did. MJ is papa MJ.... Doesn't matter Lebron is my favorite, I can appreciate others too. Durant's jumper is INSANE.... (For the record I think you are fair on your assessment, so my epilogue was not directed at you but everyone in general).

As did I - I was ready to spew out my dinner had they blown it.

That would have been two years in a row where a Toronto team has blown a massive lead.

Haha, well said man. Some people will get what I am driving at. You obviously recognize it as well.
I have acknowledge LBJ's game being above par... mostly, excect for his current numbers since most of what I said before was in the past. Right now, I have seen a difference/improvement in Lebron's game, just shooting wise. Could he still get better? Absolutely. However, I still won't care for his team. An assembled team like the Heat is not what I care for. So some people will get it twisted when I say I don't like Lebron when I don't really like the Miami Heat in general. Its the same thing with Kobe, except I just flat out hate the Lakers organization, that's what a rivalry does to ya. (If Kobe ever moved to a different team then I'd like him, but I still respect and acknowledge his game)
Anyway, I like to see Lebron share that same spirit to go hard or go home, I'm going to bury this team tonight, and I'm going to show up and out beat the guy trying to defend against me 1 on 1. Same goes for Durant. He needs that extra kick as well. I say that cause it seems like he's starting to jack up a lot of shot lately and instead of taking smarter shots or be a little more confident when he's in the post. Getting off topic again... so what it all comes down to now for Lebron is the will to play harder. Not this bullshit flopping or ohh the other team is fouling me too hard... DUDE YOU'RE 6'8 250 pounds of muscle... GET OVER IT!

I'll start comparing MJ, Kobe, Lebron, and Magic once its all said and done.
I know there are other players that I could/should mention that may have more rings, played different positions, and/or play harder, but did not get to far due to either A) injuries or B) didn't have a better supporting cast of teammates or C) made poor choices in life.
Till then.

Durant to me is the second-coming of George "Ice Man" Gervin (one of my all time favorites), only taller and minus the finger roll (since he's tall enough to slam it in over people most of the time). They play so similarly though, score like crazy, but unfortunately for Gervin, as I fear it might end up happening for Durant, no Championship was ever won by their team. OKC needs "something". Whether it's a coaching change, a different wing man for Durant, Durant to mature a bit more, or a combination of those, they need something they don't have right now.

I do think lebron has that killer instinct, he's gaining it slowly though. Just look back at his Game 6 in the ECF against Boston in 2012. Lebron might not be as clutch, seems like hes more likely to rattle and do something stupid down stretches than an MJ or KOBE.
