Half the price, twice the amount of wheels and tires. It's a no-brainer.
Actually no. It's very hard to find any of the Five Axis wheels they are selling for less than $1350 as a set. The wheels are great for the price. Also, if you tell them to let you keep the stock wheels then you can sell those for at least $500 and it would be perfect. Also you are getting free tires as well.

I'm getting the Five Axis edition for $26,000 + 5,000.

If you were to do this on your own, separately it would cost:
Kit is $1400
Wheels are $1350
Springs are ~$300
Tires are ~$800
Paint is $800
Shipping??? = $300-500??
Installation is probably about $1000 for body kit and wheels and springs

That's ~$6000 if you buy everything and have someone else install it and paint it.

It's $5000 to have all of this done prior to buying your car, saving you over ~$1000.

ALSO, it can be incorporated into financing.

It's a good deal. It's not a steal but you do save some money and time and you can finance it with the car.

That's not a bad breakdown actually. Usually aftermarket wheels are more than that at my local stealerships. I've also specifically asked on numerous occasions over the many years about keeping original wheels/tires...not once has the answer been yes.

And If all this is being done at the port, it seems more likely to me that the original wheels won't make it to the dealership in the first place. Do you have first hand knowledge to say otherwise or just guessing?

The retail price of the 5 Axis kit w/spoiler, painted, with wheels(no tires) and springs is only $2540, the wheels are cheaper than you thought too. I don't think you would need it shipped if bought through the dealership either, and most likely could work in a discount on the installation as well as the kit itself since it isn't standard. I bet you could get it all done for $4k-5k.

I'm having mine done at the dealership so I will be requesting the stock wheels and springs. Would be a bummer if I couldn't get them.
