Questions to preoccupy you whilst you wait and wait for your new toy to arrive.. PP upgrade includes upgraded Sachs dampers, are the springs standard OEM or are they are upgraded too?

If upgrading to wider wheels will it mean switching to coilovers therefore dumping the Sachs shocks?

I've been wondering this as well. I think they are probably the same springs as stock though. I'm actually surprised there isn't a comprehensive spring rate listing for these cars. On S2000s every two years when they changed spring rates they are known whereas this car seems a bit more of a mystery, unless I just can't find it.

You can keep the stock suspension with wider wheels, it will just look silly. I'll probably get lowering springs for the sachs at some point, so it would be great to know what the spring rates are so I can keep a similar front/rear ratio.

If i ever make a ton more money in the future a second 86 will be in my life that is a guarantee. That is how much i love this car.
what is the notable difference?

The car pulls way harder as expected. One of the noticable things is that the engine feels heavier (if that makes sense). I think a lot of that has to do with the Parasitic Load caused by the type of supercharger i'm running.

Throttle response is a bit different now as well. Because there is so much more low end torque you have to feather it a bit from a dead stop. Especially if you dont have wider wheels and grippier tires.

i have one of the only sport cars designed with a supercharger I have encountered, a 2006 Mini cooper S. It is sort of linear in power. The supercharger add levity to the engine, but not as light at the low points around town as the base mini cooper without forced induction. I wonder if it is the type you have, or just superchargers in general. I still would rather have a supercharger than a turbo any day.

look into upgrading those cloth seats, if your not going to go full blown recaro seats I suggest getting the seats redone in leather. Helps the seat feel more stiff and holds you in corners and lasts way longer. Also I have split shit a bunch of times on the seats and boy am I thankful it is leather. Not many people go for the full leather interior but I'd say its totally worth it. I had to go to an outside shop since I got an FRS and no such options come from the dealership.

Not sure if that is slang or a typo! Not sure the car is the right place to be splitting shit either way.

lol, can't type today. Splitting my shit is not something I'm proud of, but requires complete concentration, followed by deep self loathing and a lengthy cleaning process. The leather does make things more easy

Oh for sure! If I was splitting my shit in the car I would want leather (or even better, vinyl) as well.

No answer from my dealership or to be more specific the Salesperson taking care of my specific order. Left a message and have not got a call for a while now. I was specific about why I wanted in my message with the hopes he'd do his research and get back with me. I know I'm looking at things from a buyers point of view here but if I was a salesmen I would give a bit more respect to someone spending around $30k for a car.

Got a hold of someone (not my salesperson) at the dealership and finally got some answers. I got a VIN number and apparently the estimated date pushed back. I was projected the last week of February any way but now they are saying March 1. Here I was hoping I was gonna be that lucky guy that gets his car a few days/week early. Bummer...

Woke up in the middle of the night thinking, what if the dealership did get my car already and then listed it for sale? So I do the rational thing and see if the dealership had listed a BRZ...Of course it's not listed, there's not even a BRZ on the lot. The hilarious thing is I told my wife I woke up in cold sweats swearing they were gonna sell it before I got it and (this is no lie) she says she had a nightmare in which the dealership sold our car that same night.

Am I delirious yet? I'd say so and it appears my wife is joining me in the loonie bin. Look forward to seeing some silly ass Photoshopping when I get my car.

TLDR:Lost my mind and hers too.

I was told I had to wait 3 to 4 months for mine and then I receive a phone call 2 weeks later saying my car arrived. What happened was a car was previously ordered exactly to my spec and the deal fell through.. so I was called to pick it up.

But in my case a spring pick up with a well cleaned and prepped garage was what I was hoping for..but still glad I have exactly what I wanted.
