I'll probably record some more sessions next time out now that I'm not a total newb since it's interesting to look at.

That said, my main priority is to have fun. I had a blast, so mission accomplished.

After my first couple of laps Manny suggested to just leave it in 4th gear all the way around so that I could focus on getting the lines right. What was also cool was we did one lap where I didn't use any brakes at all. Just managed the corners with entry speed and turning to scrub speed off.

Next time out I figure I'll run the first session or two in 4th again to "re-learn" the line and then start to work on carrying more speed through the turns with downshifts and later braking.

I didn't get out on track much last Friday for the MCO lapping, but here's a few vids from last Monday evening with just MCO instructors on track.
Was only a dozen of us, so the track was pretty wide open.

A few quiet laps, didn't see any traffic at all so focused on some clean driving.

This was a bit more fun, chasing Erwan's VW GTI (240 whp) on R888 tires for a few laps. He really pulls away on the straights and I catch up quite a bit in the corners and under braking. Track was a bit slower that night, my best lap was a 2:33.9

Thinking of doing one of these... mebbe the day shared with Ferrari.. track looks awesome. Bit of a long haul, considering the afternoon.. Have to figure out what I need to do to be able to be eligible..

I'm likely going to the ASE lapping day in July but I'm really tempted to go to the MCO one in a few weeks. Such tough choices, lol.

A few hotlaps from Bogie last night with Chad in the car.
We ended up behind a race RX-7 so I pushed to see if I could keep up.

New personal best lap of 2:30.0 with a bit of room to push more.

I stay in 4th, tap/lift and back on gas.
But new tires are way better, just have to get used to the new grip level, there's at least another second or two to be gained.
