Nicely done Guys!

John, great improvement, keep chipping away at it!

Norm, very smooth laps from your vid. I see that you're using 2nd to power up the hill after 14, that suspension is so planted. I have to keep it in 3rd in that corner or the back gets loose.

You can see from Norm's vid how far ahead in the corner he looks ahead in the right handers (can't see helmet on lefties), but it goes to show that you need to look far ahead and keep your vision up. It's really helps to smooth out your laps.

Definitely more powah in the cool air.
Awesome day! With the cool air I managed my fastest lap of the season at the expense of my stock tires. Lol. I think they're officially done.

Thanks! I started using 2nd after I saw Pierre do it when he drove my car for a couple of laps last week. It certainly feels faster and doesn't feel loose at all.

Cool video Norm.

Have you ever tried overlaying the HLT data onto the GoPro video? The video function on the smart phone is somewhat flaky, but overlaying the telemetry data onto the GoPro video would be pretty cool.

I was going to do this, but it requires transferring the GoPro video to my phone via Wi-Fi using the GoPro app and I didn't have enough free space on my phone. I'll free up some space and try it.

I noticed a bit more power too - my top speed was 2.7 kph faster. I had a best lap of 2:32.2
Nice video and great driving Norm!

Thanks Pierre. Here's the last lap of the day. In my feeble attempt to keep up with Doug (he laps 5 seconds faster than me), I went into Temptation a bit too hot at 11:44

This makes me feel like we are coming towards the end of the winter...

1morelap.ca has the partial schedule up... There is a special full day event on April 26th welcoming new drivers.

Just signed up as a new driver. Pretty sure Top Karting does not make me an advanced driver.

Just received my Bluetooth GPS unit that I will be pairing with Harry's Lap Timer to get better accuracy on the telemetry data.

The GPS unit updates at 5Hz instead of the 1Hz that the phone does. Should provide better data for the corners.

Now if spring would get here so I can do all my car maintenance (fluids, etc).

So excited!!!

Just got back from US. Was hoping to see Kenny along the way. Have to admit, I am going to miss the cold weather for how much more perky the cars feels when you get on the throttle. Although after next weekends installs, I think summers are going to be better now as well.

Which unit did you choose?
