I'm however the "all go no show type". You won't catch me putting on stupid body panels, wings, neons, pearlescent paint, sound systems, and useless mufflers. I don't like attracting attention except when my foot is planted.
don't take it personally its not about your xrs or any FWD corolla, i didnt say corollas are not good cars my mom had one and my uncle had one, its about if I'll put money and time on a car will "I" put that on a FWD corolla or a different car?

Sounds pretty ignorant because suspension modification can make huge increase in performance in these types of cars.

And yes I'm biased because I modified the suspension of my Accord.
"wont touch" or " will not spend money or time",actually your the ignorant this are peoples preference nothing to do with your accord or any other peoples car. you can make all cars better thats why its called "tuning" but since people are different they have their own preference on what or what not they want to spent time & money on. I can understand if people wont do a AE86, its old, alot of work and expensive. I wont take offense on that cuz thats what the other person thinks...

No offence taken, I was just razzing you a bit haha. I've just seen a ton a videos with various modified 9th gen Corolla XRS dishing it to some of the favourites in the fwd sport compact equipped with similar modifications and tuning.

I find no reason why a boring or slow car can't be made to perform better with the appropriate funds! I'm however against making the boring or slow car look or sound like it's faster than everyone knows it is.

If it was possible to bolt a 2GR into the engine bay of Prius then mine would be painted green!

Non-Si Honda Civic
SRT4 (been there, hated it)
Eclipses regardless of variant (looks horrid)
95-up Dodge Vehicles (except Jeep and SRT10s)
Cavalier
Any fwd Toyota
Most SUVs
Most pickups (minus the SRT Ram, Lightning, and Raptor)
Older Chevy/Ford muscle cars (I love old Mopars)
R35 GT-R (computer on wheels=lame)

Suspension mods made my FWD Mazda6S a track monster. It was great before (best handling fwd car 04-07) but sways and springs make it amazing. It has literally no understeer at all.

If I could build a quality Prius into something exciting, I would totally rock it. I love the looks and the fact it has a great Coefficient of drag. I really like the new Honda CR-Z as a possible DD a few years down the road when they launch an SI version.

I was speaking from a 'working on it to fix shit' perspective. I've heard BMW's are the exception to the rule, but I've worked on a few Audi's and I swear to everything that is holy that working on those car's are just....ugh, never again.

As far as tuning? Anything FWD.

audi, vw, and mercedes seem to be a bigger PITA, but BMWs really aren't bad to work on at all.

Ha, never would have thought to find people here who can respect the Prius for it's body .

For me I wouldn't touch any car with rust, any American car made after 1973, a car w/out potential or a car that is already fixed up.

my list nothing in order, , toyota corolla (FWD), honda accords, scion xb, neon or aveo, mitsubishi eclips or regular lancer.

so what do members here dont want to touch, im sure all of us have this since we are all car enthusiast?

By Mitsubishi Eclipse I'm assuming you are talking about the bloated heavy ass NA FWD 3rd and 4th generations right. I can see the hate for the all to ubiquitous riced out fast and furious second gen models too but,

The Turbo AWD 1st gen Mitsu Eclipse/Eagle Talon/Plymouth Lasers were the sh!t.

It went all down hill after that though.

Yeah, a lot know of Mitsu Eclipse & Eagle Talon... but most ppl don't know bout Plymouth Laser. Either way, they all sucked IMO

back to the topic
Hm... here's my lists for the cars that I don't wanna work on (physically).
  • '00 plus Audi's
  • Dodge/Plymouth Neon
  • New BMW (80's~mid 90's are okay)
  • Mitsu/Eagle/Plymouth Ecl/Tal/Las
& lists of the cars that I don't even think bout tuning (which includes: suspension/brake, engine & etc).
  • Civic/Accord (nothing against Civic/Accord, just prefer to be stock)
  • New Sentra (again, same with Civic/Accord)
  • & some of luxury cars... like some Lexus, Infiniti, Acura, BMW, Mercedes Benz (cuz they look nice stock).

I guess it's up to me to defend myself so I'll put it lightly. Granted the car isn't dressed up in bling or aftermarket body kits I don't really care what the sheet metal looks like granted it's got some serious hardware underneath.

Obviously in stock form the Prius doesn't, but imagine if you could easily bolt on an engine and transmission with 268hp. I think it would be a riot watching a Prius dust a Mazdaspeed 3 from a stop light or drag tree.

You know what? I'm actually glad I own this particular Corolla. It's taught me to look past sheet metal and that even a boring dreary A-B fwd car can be turned into something marginally fun with a couple of parts (;some big) from the bin and some good engineering...
