I find no reason why a boring or slow car can't be made to perform better with the appropriate funds! I'm however against making the boring or slow car look or sound like it's faster than everyone knows it is. If it was possible to bolt a 2GR into the engine bay of Prius then mine would be painted green! |

Non-Si Honda Civic
SRT4 (been there, hated it) Eclipses regardless of variant (looks horrid) 95-up Dodge Vehicles (except Jeep and SRT10s) Cavalier Any fwd Toyota Most SUVs Most pickups (minus the SRT Ram, Lightning, and Raptor) Older Chevy/Ford muscle cars (I love old Mopars) R35 GT-R (computer on wheels=lame) Suspension mods made my FWD Mazda6S a track monster. It was great before (best handling fwd car 04-07) but sways and springs make it amazing. It has literally no understeer at all. |

If I could build a quality Prius into something exciting, I would totally rock it. I love the looks and the fact it has a great Coefficient of drag. I really like the new Honda CR-Z as a possible DD a few years down the road when they launch an SI version.

I was speaking from a 'working on it to fix shit' perspective. I've heard BMW's are the exception to the rule, but I've worked on a few Audi's and I swear to everything that is holy that working on those car's are just....ugh, never again.
As far as tuning? Anything FWD.

audi, vw, and mercedes seem to be a bigger PITA, but BMWs really aren't bad to work on at all.

![]() For me I wouldn't touch any car with rust, any American car made after 1973, a car w/out potential or a car that is already fixed up.

By Mitsubishi Eclipse I'm assuming you are talking about the bloated heavy ass NA FWD 3rd and 4th generations right. I can see the hate for the all to ubiquitous riced out fast and furious second gen models too but, The Turbo AWD 1st gen Mitsu Eclipse/Eagle Talon/Plymouth Lasers were the sh!t. It went all down hill after that though. |

Obviously in stock form the Prius doesn't, but imagine if you could easily bolt on an engine and transmission with 268hp. I think it would be a riot watching a Prius dust a Mazdaspeed 3 from a stop light or drag tree. You know what? I'm actually glad I own this particular Corolla. It's taught me to look past sheet metal and that even a boring dreary A-B fwd car can be turned into something marginally fun with a couple of parts (;some big) from the bin and some good engineering... |
