I bought No. 4 at West Houston Subaru and paid MSRP. I have never had front plates in the US and will wait til I get 2 tickets before I drill additional holes in my cars and ruin the aero dynamics :-) I have been stopped earlier for speed without getting a ticket for the missing front plate.

The GT-R is unbelievable fast, but the BRZ is more involving. In the GT-R I do 160 mph on the long straight on the track I go to. That is scary fast. I will be happy to max out at 125 mph with the BRZ.

Just sold my 09 GTR after 3 great years, to focus on my BRZ track car project.

GTR great fun on track ( I did 20 or so track days in it ) but so expensive to drive hard; I won't miss the cost.

I also think you notice the weight in the GTR too and it can be easily humbled by a well driven Caterham or track car on an average circuit, especially through tight complexes.

Think the BRZ will be a much better track car, when looking at it in the round

That is a part of the equation for me as well. I pay $450 in track day insurance for the GT-R for a weekend. In addition you have the track day fee, gas and tire wear. The tires are > $400 a piece at Tirerack.

I would rather go twice as often to track days in the BRZ for the same money.

nice cars! Im 7th on the list at West Houston Subaru and put in my order March 1st. I still have not received any info from the dealership. How long before your WRB arrived did you receive notice that it was coming in?
Thanks!

Great! I got an e-mail from Johny at Subaru 2-3 weeks before. E-mail him or call him and make sure he checks on your ETA every day.
My car came in mid june.

nice set up, seems we have the same idea:

my evo is 391hp/392tq AWD and with the stage 4 clutch is a TOTALLY different car. i plan on playing around with the BRZ but it is mainly look good, go slow. the 0-60 is over 2 times as fast on the evo, no need for a 2nd ultrafast car when the evo is in the stable as well.

very nice set up dude!

Your Evo looks awesome! Would like to drive one. I have 485 whp in Godzilla. Just an engine tune-up. The rest of the car is stock. Is the roof carbon fiber or just painted?

flat black vinyl. with most of the evo already being aluminum, adding CF is just dumb. most pieces actually gains you a couple tenths of a pound lol

thanks for the compliment on the evo, i have done a lot of work on my little storm trooper. if you would like more pics let me know and i will pm you my photobucket.

So, my car has been upgraded with new shoes and a bra. Enkei RPF1 17x8" ET45 with 225/45 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The clear bra is the Invisishield system. 120 more miles and new brake pads and I am ready for the track.

Had my first trackday weekend with the BRZ. Love the handling of the car. Lap times were surprisingly good compared to other cars I have had on the same track. Only 2 seconds slower than my E92 M3 and 5 sec slower than my GTR. This a ~ 2 min/lap track. Max. speed 117 mph compared to 159 mph in the GTR.

Ferodo ds2500 brake pads in the front and AP600 brake fluid stayed fade free and gave more than enough bite.

Pics

Had to capture this picture last time I serviced the car; the BRZ with its stronger, but not so good looking big brother. Two great cars in different ways.
