I wanted silver, had it on the truck to replace the raven at the dealership. I fell in love with raven and had everything reversed.
At the end of the day I'am so happy, having a clean black car is like a badge of honor.Plus silver looked bigger side by side. |

I really wanted black but I know I won't be able to keep up with the cleaning so I got silver.

It's funny that there are always so many great color choices for cars, and especially all the great choices for the FR-S.
I placed the order for my FR-S already, and my heart had always been set on Firestorm... But now all of a sudden Asphalt has been coming into my mind, despite the fact that it was the first color I saw on an FR-S in person at the dealership (and I didn't like it then). Thinking more deeply, I think I'll regret not getting the Firestorm more than not getting the Asphalt... That's why I'm not stopping myself. Again, so many nice color choices for this car... I guess you could say this sports car looks beautiful in all the colors, lol.

I had the same dilemma as you had with the Firestorm and Asphalt. It's even made worse today since I've ordered 2 weeks ago and still waiting - apparently August is the current ETA. This is my first new car purchase (always bought used before) I ended up ordering Firestorm since: 1) The number of dark gray/charcoal colored cars has jumped up significantly and looks almost common - although very elegant and professional 2) Firestorm screams sports car! 3) The Firestorm really reminds me of the Toyota Red - which I think is appropriate for the history of the car 4) The black rims and accents for a contrast on the Red (along with the seats) lead to a tonne of aftermarket add-ons. So in the end great choice on the Firestorm. Just waiting to get it so I can start appreciating it. |

I think the raven shows the aggressive lines of the car esp the roof the best.

As someone has probably said a few times over, I think EVERY color is nice. I'm sure the Black will grow on you. If I hadn't done black before I'd probably be getting mine in it.

If it doesn't grow on you, at least the black is a perfect base coat for having the car vinyl wrapped. With the black base coat, you're not going to see any other colour in the door jams or panel caps... or any strange contrasting colour on the strut towers and firewall when you open the hood.
With the vinyl wrapping you've got the option to go with any colour you can imagine too - not just the ones Scion offers. I plan to vinyl wrap the MX5 some time soon... when I got it I had no choice in the colour as it was the last stick shift available in the country... have a look at the signature below and see if you can guess what colour I'll change it to :p

I started with Hot Lava. But then the sales guy mentioned the waiting period. Poof! Changed to firestorm. Haven't looked back since. Both were my top choices. But this picture below from a local event blew me away!!
![]() Already own a black car. Love it. But one is good enough. Red suits a sports car IMO. No regrets whatsoever.
