Raven shows dirt easily in sunlight. Whiteout becomes slightly yellow when dirty and in the sun. My brother went with the Hot Lava and I honestly only know that he cleaned his car is when i see his tires shining.

Raven (black) is certainly hard to keep clean, but I think it looks a lot better than white. The lines of the car are so smooth and easy to see, and it really shines with a good wax. I wouldnt trade my Raven FR-S for any other color. A little more work perhaps, but worth every second for me.

No problem. If I didnt say it enough times before, I am glad I chose Raven. I can stand a little extra work to have it show in the long run.

I was negotiating with a dealer for a Black BRZ but it somewhat fell through. The other dealer I eventually went with had my second choice color, a red BRZ which my 12 year old said was far, far suitable for a sporty car. "It's like a Ferrari would not look as good in black then it does in red". So, in combination with this comment, my unfavorable dealings with the sales guy and my change of preference, my second choice became my first choice.
I come from a long line of black cars and it sure is a major PITA to keep clean. I would go with the very low maint gray or silver but then again, I don't think those colors fit the FRS/BRZ body shape and size very well. |

I will say color choice for this car was a hard one. I wanted dark gray because my 626 was a dark gray and I loved that car. I wanted Raven because of my name and affinity for the poem. I wanted hot lava because of an almost boyish desire for an exotic/hot sports car that was orange and stood out. Red would've been a nice choice too just because. But I will say I have no regrets with hot lava. It is such a gorgeous color, stands out, and best of all, it's unique. I love being unique.

Of the choices offered I'm satisfied with my firestorm. I am disappointed in the choices that were offered. I think for a cars as aggressive looking as the twins they could have used colors a little more over the top. I'm thinking yellow, British racing green, candy apple, etc.
This is repeating myself but I would loved to have had the option of a saddle tan leather interior. |
