speaking of Vehicle Order Numbers.... has anyone tried theirs today? (those that do not have VINs yet)

i tried mine at lunch and it says my number is invalid, and i have definitely been able to use it within the past week.

whats really odd is that my VON is a 9-digit number, and the max you can enter on subarus website at this time is 6 digits

pretty concerning, i already emailed my sales rep but havent received a response yet

thats really strange, i wonder why you were quoted for so long, it seems 6-8 weeks the norm... i really hope i dont have to wait two more months, or i might self-induce a coma to handle the wait

Yeah we're both Northern California so I think there's just a huge backlog here. Where did you place your order?

Do you have an allocation number?

Or anybody else really?

Mine is 201704 which probably means April.

I think you can build a car on the site and save it. So maybe that's where the 6 digit # is generated. Different than the actual build VON #.

i did it at the dealership, and you get an email confirming your order

it says "Vehicle Order Number" in the email, with my 9-digit number below it

it also has the estimated arrival at my dealership, "last week of February"

ordered from Dallas

i've been able to check on it before, like a few days ago, but today i was only able to enter 6 out of 9 digits

at this point i'm thinking subarus site is being screwy. my sales rep is getting back to me tomorrow

New member here, and new to posting on a forum all together. I have been lurking on this thread for a while while securing my Series Yellow. Just got the privilege to post, so I thought I'd share my good news, and possible good news for another in search of a Series Yellow in Nor Cal.

On Saturday, I went online to the Costco Auto Program, and requested pricing on a Series Yellow. Costco connected me with my local dealership in Chico CA. They didn't seem willing to promise me a car if they got one, but did take my name. Being a little concerned about the size of the dealership (small) and that they would not commit, I called Costco, and they connected me with the next closest dealer with pricing on a Series Yellow. I Spoke with Dionysios Tsirkas at Diablo Subaru in Walnut Creek CA, and he gave me the Costco Pricing ($100 over Factory Invoice), and took a deposit.

Last night I got a call from Courtesy Subaru in Chico, offering me the only Series Yellow they were getting, but not the Costco pricing. Being relitevely sure that Diablo Subaru would get at least one, I turned them down.

Today I got my VON from Diablo! The other good news is that they are getting two, and may still honor the Costco pricing if anyone is looking.
