Any idea when the 2017 BRZs will be hitting orange county, LA?

Called a few places getting conflicting reports of this week or winter lol. Not in a rush, but just want to prepare my expectations.

I test drove a M240i yesterday and was left underwhelmed. It's a good looking car, but not enough to sway me from my BRZ. The handling, seating position and steering are superior in the BRZ IMO.

I'd like to keep my 13 but with two leaks so far, I'm concerned about long term reliability. Upgrading to a 17 would make sense as I plan on keeping the car long term.

I test drove a 16 WRX a few months ago. Didn't like it. Seats were too high. I'm 5'8" My left shin touched the panel under the steering wheel when I tried to clutch in with the ball of my foot. Wouldn't happen if I used my toes, but I woudln't want to drive like that lol. The interior was very cheap looking, gloss all over the place. Didn't like the blow off noise associated with a turbo personally. No complaints about the handling and steering.

The BRZ has really ruined other cars for me in a good way I guess lol. If I never had the BRZ, I would be in that M240i right now. But I'm holding a sports car to a higher standard now, otherwise I'd get myself a luxury sedan like the GS 350 F Sport.

definitely agree bro. i came from a s2000 before this so i guess i was already spoiled. the shifting is even smoother in that but the brz is much more practical. i thought iw as getting bored with it but when i didnt drive it for 2 weeks and was driving a truck / 2016 STI...i fell back in love with the brz. like you said the seating positioning and overall feel was not the same as in the brz. the closest thing to it is a s2000. i was looking at the m2 and maybe the sti if it came out in hatchback soon but im juggling between that and getting a family car now as well..

I always keep reading about how great the S2000's shifter and handling are. That's why I'm afraid to try it because then it may ruin the BRZ for me :/ I like the BRZ's notchy shifter though, especially after switching to Motul fluid.

The M2 has a a year waiting list right now and in socal they're going ove rMSRP which makes it impractical against the M240i. If going by MSRP, it's only a $5k difference and you get a whole lot more and better resale value too. Oh well, don't have to worry about that anymore!

my car choices were originally either a S2000 or BRZ. after looking at the prices for a relatively clean and low mile S2K, I just threw that thought out of my head and went for a new BRZ. paying around 20K+ for an almost 10 year car seemed kind of outrageous to me.

Just last week, I saw a 2017 BRZ Limited in DGM, 6 speed manual at Sierra Subaru in Monrovia. I called them a while back and they did say most likely around october they'll be rolling in.
