Tonight I made a tteokbokki (korean rice dumplings/cake) dish for dinner. Used this recipe: https://www.ethanchlebowski.com/cook...ean-rice-cakes
 The only addition I made was very thinly sliced beef that I simmered in the broth before putting the cakes in. The flavor profile was alright and pretty much what I expected but I came away pretty disappointed, especially that I used .25lb of the beef in this instead of just making Japanese gyudon, lol. Not sure what I'll do with the extra Korean chili powder and paste now since I don't feel like I'll want to make this again, lol. Whoops.

You can use Gochujang for lots of things. Use just like rooster sauce. You can mix it with some soy sauce, ginger, garlic for a nice marinade for chicken. Add to soups and sauces. Lots of stuff. |
