Never lift the gas pedal, if throttle body shuts when you try to accelerate you will need wait the turbo spool to get boost. Feathering its something like pressing gas pedal about 3-5%, boost get low but when you hit gas pedal the turbo is alredy waiting you. Other technique is braking with left foot while feathering. You got an idea

Yup the pure feeling is what got me too, still does and will forever. After having a couple of cars with turbos I don't know if I could go back again at this point. I assume I'll have to in the future but glad I'm not in one now.

How dare you say turbo isn't the greatest thing ever. Everybody knows we all want 500 HP since that is when the car just starts to wake up and be fun. I have been told over and over on here that EVERYBODY wants turbo so don't believe anybody that says they don't. I mean really guys how can you manage to keep up with traffic without it?

there is a reason every car journalist is bemoaning the fact everyone is using turbo cars. Now I would love a saab like tiny turbo making 3 or 4 psi at most because it would help gas mileage a little, but frankly that is not worth the expense.

I hope they finally wake up and give us a 2 door hatch STI.

I agree with the OP. I was going to make a thread like this but I puss'd out...I drove a friends greddy turbo kit BRZ recently and I did not like it. I have owned numerous turbo cars and they were all great but I do not wish that for my frs. The NA power is instant, simple and predictable.

People still use the word "whip" to refer to their car?
