Nice that you can now buy em!

I know there was some testing done on the new manifold alone in the older cars. didn't it come to like 1whp gain? and something else smaller that would almost make it insignificant if your car is NA and doesn't have the other improvements the 17 has? it's in another thread (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111954) here I think. I can also see that it could possibly offer some more in maybe turbo cars. But if your car is stock and you're thinking of getting a 410$ manifold for improve HP and looks(don't forget you'll need a tune). I think the $400 are better spent elsewhere...then again you might gain more than that 1whp and 2wtq.. depending on other factors added along with manifold.

Is this definitely the right part number for the Ali inlet guys?? I just ordered one from Subaru and am worried I may receive a plastic one if this number is incorrect?

Have you noticed it's red...cool.
I have just ordered one for my project car for a few reasons. The plastic manifold is crap. It has unequal runner lengths, is torturous for airflow just behind the throttle body, it can't be modified and it may well split if it is subjected to big boost from my GTX3071r.

The beauty of the Ali manifold is that it can be reshaped and refinished to give improved airflow, it is more rigid so will handle any level of boost it is subjected to and can be machined to fit alternative injectors if required.

It is also very red, which doesn't matter much to me as I shall be blasting it off.

Just wondering. Would there be any fitment issues if I were to install the new red manifold onto my A/T MY15 BRZ?

I noticed it just cropped up on https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/50043 and felt tempted!

Also if staying NA would there be any benefit to fitting Crawford power blocks in conjunction with it? Yes I am looking to have a custom tune done at the same time.

I read the 2017 specs included newly revised exhaust manifold.

Does this mean I can negate purchase of after market headers when I decide on a tune? (Unless UEL is of greater performance benefit.)

Furthermore, will a tune even as simple as a stage 1 provide even greater performance benefit considering the 2017 much revised factory modifications?

If anyone is interested, I just purchased the 2017 intake manifold along with the grams throttle body. I am currently running a JRSC C38 kit along with full header back exhaust. Once I have it on and tuned I'll keep you updated

Do you need new gaskets for the 17 intake manifold and if so which ones do you get?

Toyota only provided the upgraded engine on the Manuals because they know that if you really cared, you'd buy a manual. If you bought a slushbox, you won't really care or notice.

Probably the best thing to buy with that certificate. But it would be more cost effecient to buy a NED oil cooler, it's probably cheaper and less of a hassle than sourcing all the OEM parts because they've already done it.
