Decided to play around with the frs today

I noticed that the ac compressor on my car doesn't seem to work

I would turn on my ac and I would go check in the engine bay to see if the ac compressor pulley was moving but it did not engage. Mind you it got cold in the car but to my understanding when you turn on the ac ..The pulley for the ac compressor is suppose to move with the belt.

Can someone explain to me how it works

Thanks

I'd guess that there is some sort of duty cycle for it, even though the AC light stays lit. The heated rear window cycles on and off when engaged so it might be similar.

Tcoat did steal it. He just returned it before you could find out...

Nah, if I was gonna steal one and take it back it would from someplace nice and warm. Minnesota is right out of the question at this point! Now Florida, Texas or California would be great.
Or maybe even a nice red one from I don't know... South Carolina maybe???

There's a type of actuator inside the pulley (not sure what you would call it) that can activate and deactivate the a/c pump to start and end duty cycles, with the a/c on you'll hear a click and the pulley will re-engage itself when the system needs more cool air.

The mechanics of it is pretty cool really
