Exhaust sound clip
OK, I found some time to try something out. This is an audio recording of the exhaust with the Nameless Performance Downpipe/Overpipe with high flow cat. The rest of the exhaust is completely stock.
Simple digital recorder set on the highest quality setting, placed about three feet behind the car on the ground. Idle and three revs, 2500ish, 4000ish, and 7000ish. The car was completely warmed up and at operating temperature. The downpipe has been installed exactly one week. http://db.tt/nQm3uWoS |

^^^^ Thanks, I think they look best on the Whiteout, but I might be partial. If I had an Asphalt or such, I think the smoked look would work best.
I wanted to pass along some highway MPG info after a trip I took last weekend (I'm channeling Dadhawk here...): About a 500 mile trip, mostly highway miles, I averaged 32.52 mpg. Not as great as some on here, but keep in mind I averaged in the 81 mph range and a few times got a little more spirited in empty sections of the road. Mostly without A/C, but I did have it on for short time on the return trip. I think that's pretty darn good for that speed. I'm averaging about 26.5 mpg in normal city commuting. That's still better than both of my previous 4 cyls. (2011 tC and 92 GTI) |

Decided to do this mod, currently using 194 bulb, but may switch to an LED. Sorry, not a great pic...

Nameless Performance Axleback
OK, I haven't updated this in awhile. Just a few differences, mainly the Nameless Performance Axleback I put on today. I like it a LOT. Was a little worried about the volume of it, but it is not an issue. For about 5k miles I ran with their overpipe/hi-flow cat with the stock axle back. I think the Nameless is quieter at idle than the stock muffler and less "tinny," for lack of a better word. And under load it's just silly how much better it sounds.
Now if I can just find the "plastic-like" rattle from the rear passenger side area when I'm cruising at 70+ mph. Tried messing with the wheel liner, but that hasn't worked. May try Neoprene washers on the clips next, as someone had success with that. Thinking about the Unichip next, if others find it ok, and lowering springs. Oh, and tint in the spring. Also if anyone wants to trade White BRZ fender vents, I'd be up for that. And if anyone in the Southeast (Tennessee area) wants to sell stock wheels, I might be interested. I'm thinking about trying something, but don't want to unless I have extras. Couple of pics of exhaust: |

Hit by drunk driver tonight. No pics yet, but may be totaled. Definitely f*&^ed. At least my Unichip shows up tomorrow!
One pic up, sorry it's giant... but you can see detail. Last edited by TrickyFrenchman; 01-17-2013 at 01:31 PM. |

I should add, still running like a champ, too. Just hard to move when the front driver-side wheel is at a 90 degree angle to the direction of the car.

Thanks, I'm fine. Just extremely disappointed. Just a fantastic car that is now probably scrap (which I'll likely try to buy back for parts). Plus I have to go through the hassle of getting my after market parts back.
He's probably uninsured, too. Police wouldn't give me his information at the scene, but hauled his ass off. |
