Random Stuff That Doesn't Really Fit In My Vendor Thread

I find cool random stuff occassionally that I want to share, but it's not really on-topic to selling BRZs. So I figured I'd throw it up here so I can still share cool shtuff.

I've never heard of a Sambar until today. It's super cool ! If I had any mechanical skills I would attempt to restore this unique little guy.

IDK the spec, but that sounds bout right. But hey, that thing lasted 2 decade of farm work. I would say, that's pretty good.

Well the 1969s had 20hp. Before that they had 17.5.

The 1999 to 2012 model was much better and would appeal to many here:
"with the supercharger optioned engine power output increased to 58 PS (57 bhp)."

iirc he had 70's so I'm guessing 20hp.

Now, he sold the farm to someone, so he doesn't care to have kei vans/trucks anymore. He's enjoying retired life lol

My local Subaru dealer has a 360 van parked out front, which apparently the Sambar is based on.

Also, according to Wikipedia, the Sambar was made from 1961 to 2012 by Subaru, then 2012 to current by Toyota. Apparently you can buy a brand new one of these beauties.
