We have rebuilt it. We have the technology. It is even better than before.

I will therefore not drive over 15.7MPH inside any city municipality to not have to go through this again.

Some people say I'm the worst driver in the world who only blames his tires. Hmmm...Even though I specifically said it was NOT the tires fault, I was inattentive and ran out of talent. Tires were pretty well on their last leg, and with fresh rubber, maybe, just maybe I would have pulled it out, but probably not.

I've had it a month (it's a 2013). I came around a decreasing radius corner without paying too much attention to how much it was decreasing, too fast, no traction control on (except the pedal dance), it oversteered a bit, which was fine (fun), but then I get a bit hazy. I was going about 60mph, I countersteered like normal (I thought), but then it snapped oversteer the other way and I went twirling down the road. Luckily no traffic in the way and a wide road. Before I could get stopped, I hit the opposite curb completely square with the passenger side. Destroyed my passenger rear suspension, rear um...brace (?) that holds everything together between the frame rails, two tires, wheels, brake lines, a bunch of other odds and ends.

So, I upgraded just a couple things. Stainless brake lines so hopefully they won't get cut again (not that it was that big of a deal, but I got a good deal so why not?). Rear aftermarket LCA's, not much else aftermarket. I did have a stockpile of aftermarket parts I was waiting (lazy) to install, so I had them do that too, including RCE springs. Oh, and I got two new OEM wheels because I couldn't decide on anything better, but did get 4 new Pilot Super Sport's.

So, completely my fault, but I learned from it. And I always love putting it on forums because all the perfect drivers out there then berate you on what an idiot you were! Uh, duh! My checkbook helped me determine I was an idiot long before I posted!

Dude! You do not need to start a new thread every time a stray thought passes through your mind. There is room in Random for one more.

Tires are still in jail unfortunately. Tire shop didn't have time to mount and install them, so I get to see what the Prius ones were like (on loan). Not as bad as I thought they might be.

Hey! Between us we have 1 full set of oem rear suspension parts! Seriously though, if I'd seen your thread I would have tried to sell you my parts. I smashed the driver side and replaced LCA, toe, and trailing arms. So I have the passengers in a box in the garage

Dang! That would have been nice. Sorry about your ordeal though!

Mine unfortunately included the crossmember thing that the suspension for each side sat on, so the damage didn't really want to stay on it's own side

Interesting, actually I have a local guy here that ran into shit twice on the exact same issue. I think in heavy drift situations with traction control "off" it does some crazy shit emergency braking crap that snaps the car the other direction to try and recover. I wonder if their changes to how traction control works for 2017 has anything to do with that. Without the pedal dance apparently over-steer can be a dangerous proposition. Not sure if this only applies to when traction control is turned "off" or not. I need to do some of my own research in a safe environment.
