Haha of course. Its just so hard to say no to $3500 for the full kit and oil cooler.

Sounds like you don't have the dough for the harrop, so jump on that Jackson sc, it's not as fast as the harrop on the street but will still be fun. Better than no sc at all!

Have cash in hand for the Jackson, but I'm maxing a credit card for the Harrop lol. And I agree with you, for my needs it may suit me just fine.

The harrop kit has a lower profile and keeps more parts of the car in stock form over the edelbrock. Not to mention it is cheaper by a few hundred bucks.

Depends on what you want. A some people with the JRSC who keep at rpm and momentum love their kits. If you're daily driving, you might like the increased tq throughout the entire range. At your elevation in Nevada, you also need to account for the fact that all SC will generate less power than a turbo (~25% loss sc/na vs ~15% loss turbo). There are more options on the JRSC for smaller pulleys to account for that difference. Not sure if harrop has offered any smaller pulleys.

The Harrop is better suited to my daily driving, especially with more torque in the lower rev range. The elevation is what it is... kinda sucks but whatever. Harrop has also developed some smaller pulleys and/or someone else supplies them. Moto-East has em for sale, I do know that.

I was a similar situation as you, deciding between a used JR SC kit vs. new Edelbrock.

There was about a ~1.2k difference between the 2. In the end I went with Jackson because the 1.2k difference can pay for flex fuel kit and custom tune, which more than makes up for JRSC's low end torque disadvantage.

Do you have any regrets in going that route?

Have you gotten ride alongs in either kit?

That'd probably be your best bet & easiest way to make a decision.

The Harrop is cheaper? The Edelbrock with no tuning hardware is $4650 with free shipping, and was $300 less just last month. The Harrop seems to be much more comparatively.

Yeah, as far as I can tell the Harrop is lsited from Moto-East at $5295 plus $200 shipping with no tuning hardware/software. Over $6200 if you're starting from scratch and need the ECUTek.

CARB version of Edelbrock sells for $5399 with free shipping and the ECUTek with tune.

Edelbrock wont change, but you may be able to find better for Harrop given the possible changes in currency or import/shipping fees.

I'd get the kit going for 3k on here. Seems like an awesome deal to me.

Sadly, no. I have never experienced a boosted twin.

Right? The value is insane for a full kit and oil cooler. Granted, this is a used kit meaning that many problems could arise i.e. missing parts, small problems etc. but it seems worth the risk to me.

Last quote I received from Harrop was around $4750 for the kit and an additional $250-$350 for shipping stateside. This makes it cheaper than buying from Moto-East by a couple hundred. Still doesn't beat the Edelbrock rebate, but that is over and neither here nor there haha.
