I have a 16 model and I had my pump replaced by the dealer. It was obnoxiously loud. Though the new model pump it still makes a "chirp" sound, but it's very subtle. My old pump got really bad when I reached the 20k mile mark.

What's so special about the twins' fuel pump? Is there a Subaru or Toyota equivalent from another model that's plug and play?!

It's a high compression engine (12.5:1) so it requires a high pressure fuel pump.
