Yeah I always recommend the no nipple version, otherwise you are asking for trouble like this.

I don't know why anyone would ever get the long nipple version, especially for this car...
With that being said, I've been running the short nipple version lowered 2 inches on coils for 2 years, no problems... OP is barely lowered and has the underside all fucked up, that tells you where the problem lies right there Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |

I had the short nipple version and I won't run it again either. I was driving back from Rio Vista CA pulling an empty trailer, and pulled off the road to let an unencumbered vehicle pass. The gravel hid the broken asphalt hole that I drove into and my car bounced off the skid plate. It held pressure, barely, and spun in my fingers. I had extra oil though, so I made it home safely. I was very lucky it wasn't pulled clean out of my oil pan on impact though. The stock plug however would have only been scratched.
