Yes, all tunes void your warranty.

However, with the OFT, the first time you plug it in, it will ask you to save your stock ROM onto the device. This will help you go back to your stock tune anytime you will need to do warranty work or if you go to the dealer for oil changes etc....

There is no traces left for the dealer to be able to find out that you tuned your car.

The check engine light + traction control light combo lit up means that there might be a timing actuator problem. I'm also from Vancouver, but sadly people have understood that the best solution to intakes is a dry drop-in air filter. So people most likely keep their stock airbox.

I see you have a cold air intake? Haha. What did you do with your old one!

My trac control livht goes off aftee 5 minutes. I think it may just be a precaution if cel shows up. Just so u dont disengage trac controls. I threw no timing actuator codes. Threw lean and injector codes

I'm keeping my stock intake as I'm switching back to it in the future.

I only heard about the trac + check engine from a friend and she said it disappeared after a while.

If it didn't disappear, then it's a costly repair if the car is out of warranty.

Go to dealer. As their update made things run worse. Pay for full diagnostic. Have a feeling theyll say its the header and intake. And do nothing about it. But i would like a full lookover by a tech to make sure all is good. Would rather do that when its running good though.

Go to tuner. Get them to fix and tune. Tuner here says 700-800$. Done dozens of frs/brz and have them down. Most reputable tuner in my province.

Or theres a member on here selling a unichip. Would that solve my problems? 300$ to potentially run smoother and acthally be able to drive my car sounds wonderful
dont but a uni chip, their pretty well obsolete now that many systems can flash ecu, flashing is much better and easier.

Ok so update!! Got stock intake. Installed and unplugged battery overnight. Car ran great for an hour and a half. No stalls no sputters then BAM check
Engine light. My 3 other codes were wiped. The p0172 and p117 0/b. Which is what was causing my idle and stall.

Now im getting p0420 which i wasnt before!? Havent touched the header or o2s. Deleted the code. Wonder if it will come back? Any negative side effects of driving with p0420? What are my options in fixing it permanently
Other than putting stock header on. Which im not doing. Would a rear o2 spacer help!? I remember a previous member saying something of the sort

P0420 wont do any harm but it will disable your cruise control, was wondering if it would show up.

You can try 02 spacer in rear 02 sensor but its no guarantee , only guarantee is to disable p0420 in tune.

if you have stock intake back on and no intake or exhaust leaks then your fueling problems are likely to be front 02 sensor or the maf sensor.

usually it goes rich on exhaust leak as sensor keeps seeing fresh air thinks its lean so signals ecu to richen fueling.

If your super confident theirs no leaks then its likey one of those sensors.

Unless you have equipmemt to log ecu and test sensors its probably going to be cheaper to take it to a shop that has, the 02 and maf sensors are not cheap and we are just guessing without proper diagnostics.

im putting my money on a exhaust leak though, check the front 02 sensor is scred in all the way and the metal ring on it is not loose. if it is dont force it in remove it and run an M18 by 1.5 mm thread tap through the 02 bung in header so it screws in easily. many people stuff the 02 sensors forcing them in

To me it sounds like there is a leak but i bought the car with them on. I dont know how its supposed to sound. Can definitley smell a rich smell. But prev owner who is a lamborghini tech and someone i know personally said its because of there being no cats. Its only while sitting at a light and is about 25% of the time. The rest of time no smell. My mpg is crap though. It says i get avg 8.9 l per 100 km. All city. But my gas guage doesnt back that up. Full tank drops like nothing and i dont drive it excesivley hard.

Ill look this weekend if those o2 sensors are loose. Why arent the holes pretapped? Youre saying theres just a cut hole and the o2 threads itself?! All other vehicles where 02 sensor goes theres a threaded hole!

Ever heard of shoving a shop vac into exhaust pipe and listening down the line for air shooting out? Could this damage anything? I dont assume itd be powerful enough to do so. Maybe ill just go get a smoke test.

Just watched a guy doing this on YouTube. Looks like it works fairly well. He used soapy water in a squirt bottle for detection. Pretty neat.

the holes are tapped but often when they weld the tapped bung into header its distorts a bit, you just want the 02 to screw in easily if you force them it often stuffs the sensor or strips sensor threads

Heard nothing but bad about 02 spacers. If i had a 92 civic i wouldnt spend money on a tune as its worth more than the car.

Just decided to not pay my property tax and tuned the car. Everything is running smooth as butter now.
