Edelbrock S/C Friendly Dealership?

This may be a stupid question..but does anyone know of any dealerships that are Supercharger friendly in terms of doing the free oil changes that come with purchase of a Subaru? I was thinking maybe South coast since they are all about modding..any suggestions / personal experiences appreciated!!

I thought that the maintenance package wasn't related to your warranty? though, I would be more concerned of techs wanting to take the car out to "test" it for problems lol

It will void the factory warranty for pretty much the entire drivetrain. However, they have their own warranty that covers until the car has 36K miles, providing the kit is installed by an ASE-certified tech.

oh, I thought that it was an "add-on" warranty meaning that it added on to your current warranty. I guess I just read it wrong. however, I did change my post so that it wouldn't confuse anyone in the future lol

Toyota and Subaru don't care how reliable it might be; it's not an OEM part and it puts significantly more stress on the car than the OEM levels would. If it were a TRD or STI part, that might be different and the factory warranty might cover it. I would love to see Edelbrock make a deal with Toyota and Subaru to make it a factory-offered kit under TRD or STI branding, but I really doubt that'll happen.

I would avoid south coast subaru like the plague. I've had some pretty bad experiences with that dealership (although, not service related).

Do your own oil changes or go to a shop that deals with modified cars (ModBargains/Mod Auto perhaps?...714-582-3330)- its just not worth it to go to the stealership for "free" oil changes

You should still be able to get free oil changes, but they might try and claim they "flagged" you or some bs.

appreciate the input! i was going to go to evasive since they offer their motul or amsoil oil changes for like 99 bucks, i think that is cheaper than most places.. and i would do it myself but right now my living arrangement doesn't allow me to. know of anywhere local that might be cheaper? i usually watch them doing the oil change just to make sure they are careful and not messing around. maybe i should just take it somewhere though

I bought my first subaru there and after a few years of ownership I found several things that made me skeptical about the car I purchased. Then again I was younger and just wanted a bright blue car that goes fast.

Haha, I was younger when I had my bad experience too...but I've never been to a more demeaning, deceitful dealership.

Ferdie at South Coast Subaru will take care of you. Ask for him specifically.
