As long as the rollout(tire circumference) is close to stock you wont see much difference in speed. Here in Atlanta we have have 3-4 places that specialize in speedometer re-calibration. There are also some handheld tools that you can buy or possibly rent. If it were me, id just take it to a pro, it shouldnt be expensive and it would save the hassle and a bunch of research.

I haven't done any testing yet...but I'm sure the digital speedo is just as accurate as the analog one. However my past experience with digital speedo's will forever bias me towards trusting analog (which ironically can be wrong even moire easily than digital...)

Your are right, the key, has a trunk unlock. I just unhooked the valet trunk button. Problem solved.

I should call my car Rooney as I have a signed football shirt from him but then again perhaps not...

Or just physically put the key in the trunk lock and turn it...

All the talk about the difference between digital and analog speedos in modern cars is pretty funny. Most new "analog" speedos are driven by a stepper motor and are really just an analog dial face driven by a digital pointer.

If not the BRZ navigation as a whole (I don't mind it), then the Eco Route option in the navigation. Thing took me through downtown Baltimore because it thought it would be more eco friendly than the beltway.

Also the brake pedal. Who needs it?

modern heavy trucks have a parameter where tire revolutions per mile are entered, as well as final drive ratio... makes speedo calibration a breeze. i would presume automotive has the same capability. multiplexing is fun hahaha!

I'm putting my reverse camera in the hole. I NEVER valet my car. The lock out button in the trunk is USELESS to me. But the hole is already there. So...

Unfortunately not all, but they should. It's just like all the firmware setting in the 86 that you have to have "special" software to tune.

For example, why should "regular owner" have to go to the dealer to turn on/off the beep when you lock the doors? Because money....

My 2004 Suburban is fully configurable using the steering wheel controls and the one line LCD information display on the dash. No fuss, no muss, no extra fee from the dealer. No reason a 2013 model car should not be the same way.
