If those tuners have no prior experience with either, imho it's easier to go with OFT, simply because of help of guys like Steve99, Wayno and others there are LOADS of tuning info in this forum. But then again it will still require to read/learn a lot, and i'm not sure if they will be willing for standard tune price dedicate week or more of rtfm-ing to familiarise thorough enough with platform to be able to tune more effectively then eg. what OTS tunes do, or what you yourself might be able to optimize upon OFT OTS one following guides, for example.

How does that make sense? The theory and info posted up is applicable to all the tuning platforms. ECUtek is far easier and much nicer to use than Romraider, it's all in one suite plus no having to worry about working around/with cal hacked files.

engine running bad with lots of codes, but continues driving it?
Even "good" tunes can cause problems with our engines, which were not supposed to have boost lol. Run rich all day long, but run lean... |

also, how many HORRIBLY WRONG installed turbo/supercharger kits are running around out there?
I'm on quite a few facebook groups, and frequently I see "I just installed my kit in the garage, but where does this go (with a picture of a bov, vacuum line or other important hardware)?". I'm not saying they're all installed wrong, but it is a factor... |

To be fair - my Ecutek, Dyno tune at Full Blown Motorsports killed my first engine.
Got tuned, drove home, next day got gas (still 91 and from the same company, just two stations 2 hrs apart) and leaned out and bent a rod. So that can happen on any tune / platform.
