Sparco seat base fitment?

I received my Sparco seat base and went to test fit it before assembling with the side mounts and sliders. It seems a bit weird to me as it does not sit level in the car. The rear is much lower than the front and the front mount hole/flange does not sit flush with the floor either.

Is that normal for these? I am pretty sure the Sparco mounts in my BMW are level when installed in the car. These just seem odd because nothing is flush with the mounting surface and if I go to bolt it down there will be a small gap between the floor and mount flange.

I bit of pretty sure the Sparco is made by Planted Technologies. I have mounted several seats using Planted and other seat bases in cars, but not the BRZ/FRS. I have never expected the seat base to be level. They have all had a little of rake to them. Of course you said a lot lower in the rear. You should be able to compensate some with the side mount holes. I am a bit surprised the holes don't line up. I have had to enlarge/adjust holes on some of my cars.

Thanks. So it sounds like the base being raked back is just normal. The holes all line up OK, so I think it is fine and I am just being paranoid.
