I'm torn about buying new. I don't want to, but if I don't it hurts Toyota when their finally making something I want.

Moral conflict... (I wish it were possible to buy factory direct and bypass the thieving dealerships.)

I've got $2k set aside so far...

Did a quick search at a couple of tuning parts shops, and it comes out ~$800 nowadays. For that price, yes, I'll get the legalis R, despite waiting time. STILL....your exhaust, it sounds damn good and FUCK does it look good on an AE86.

I have about $1000 but that might go into a motorcycle soon. Plus the car won't be release before I start my career and start rolling in the big buck lol.

I have $11,300 saved but If I like the car I will get it a year later after its arrival. More time to save more money and find a second job or something.

Plus my RSX is paid off for 4 years now.

The money that I have saved will go to paying off my current car then financing a big chunk of the 86. My current loan has a terrible APR so by paying that off, I can get a better loan on the 86.

I'm paying off the S ASAP so I can pay off my big credit card. Then I'll start saving cash up big time. I'm going to wait at least one year before getting my FT. Hopefully by then I can stack up enough to pay it off or pay as much down as possible. I wanna start modding as soon as I take delivery.

good man.

i'm honestly not going to save much, if any. i have other expenses and interests that require funding. however, if i just have way too much money and can't figure out how to spend it, i might save like $100 for it... lol

Haha $100, you'll need it to fill the tank when you go to buy it because gas will be $10 by then lol. I got a bunch of stuff to pay off too so I prob wont be able to save for the car for a while but this years tax return is helping pay off credit cards and other expenses

i didn't have really anything saved for my truck (more expensive than the FT) and it worked out fine. i have no problem financing things when necessary. what i might end up doing is getting an FA5 Si relatively soon and then if i like the FT more than the Si when the time comes, trade. if not, i'll keep the Si.

Just about to pay off all my student loans, so I'll start saving now (just got a second job). By the time this car comes out (which will probably be later than expected due to the horrible tragedy Japan is going through right now) I will hopefully have enough to put a large amount down (or maybe put some aside for mods? ). I also don't plan to buy the first year just to see if there are any kinks/bugs that Toyota would need to fix, but that's just more time to save I guess.
