I can't wait to get her back from being worked on! Haven't even had her a week and the last few days she has been at the shop getting tinted and having a security system installed as well as a sound system. Goodbye spare tire, hello subwoofer! Should get her back today. This is very odd for me since I used to be an installer (10 years ago) but now with 2 kids I struggle to find time so I found a good custom guy and turned her over to him. The list of equipment isn't long but it will sound killer.

Kenwood DDX-719 Head Unit with iPod integration for Garmin Street Pilot

Alpine PDX V9 5 Channel Amp with 1/2 & 3/4 Bridged to the fronts (no rears) RMS as set up should be +200W/200W/586W. Having the bass knob for this set up installed in the blank between the traction control buttons. Just gutted the housing and the knob will be the only thing seen. Need to find a color matched silver paint to make it blend in.

Hertz HSK 163 3 Way Component Set. I am unfamiliar with these but the installer recommended them. I will listen to installers, not salesmen. I was originally going with a set of Morel 2 ways but he convinced me to keep the 3". Hope I like what I hear when I pick up the car. Added Dynamat to the doors as well as the Dynasorb pads behind the mids.

JL Audio 12W3 in a custom enclosure in the spare tire well. I am hoping by ditching the spare tire I am still saving weight. The sub will be pushed as far forward as possible to keep the weight centered over the axle. When its all said and done everything will be stealth. Open the trunk and see nothing. Amp and sub in false floor and covered by factory carpet. I need to find something to cover the trunk lid since the Dynamat here will be exposed. It looks like there is the holes for a factory cover on the lid, does the BRZ have this?

I have the retrofit projector kit on order from TRS and Grazio Flat Black Emblems from Carson. I think this will be the fastest I have ever done this many mods to a new vehicle. Visually I think blacking out the headlights and the other work inside the housing will be one of the coolest mods to do. Those chrome headlights stand out in a bad way on the Raven.

Stay tuned!
