i'd trade my 16 in for a 17 in a heartbeat if i was financially irresponsible.

a must for me is to swap taillights. front bumper and lights are a maybe, but probably pricey.

steering wheel is ugly, but useful. wish they had something similar to the wrx instead.

i would love to have those cluster gauges.....but i doubt they'd be easily swappable.... the current ones are a bit...old school and #basic

I'm with you on this one. So glad I got the zenki model.

The facelift version inside and out seems like the designers are trying way to hard to appeal to the mainstream with all those ricer bits.

Steering wheel controls done right is MkV Golf GTI or LFA. Steering wheel controls across the car industry nowadays have no proper design aesthetics.

The goal IS to appeal to the mainstream crowd. The 1st gen is too bare boned for many. Toyota has already accomplished with appealing towards enthusiasts, now is the time to cater to the rest.

Wow...what's wrong with steering wheel controls?
it's not like you have to use them and even so aren't most of you just going to go aftermarket anyways?

Actually I think a lot of people really liked the stock wheel. I know i prefer it or anything aftermarket. And it being a drivers car steering wheel buttons arent anybodys favorite.

Personally I think the stock wheel is shit. I like D shaped wheels with aggressive thumb cutouts. VW GTI and R, for example.

Literally every car maker can learn from them and be better for it.

Those steering wheels tend to be really thick and they aren't that great if you have to go lock to lock really quick, the wheel also feels big cuz it's wider. They only look cool and that's about it.

The stock wheel feels small in hand and not too thick, combined with the stock quick rack it's amazing feel.

But I would see how a flat bottom steering wheel would be useful in really small car so it won't rub on my thighs.

I dunno. Some people don't think buttons belong on real drivers' steering wheels. Some may disagree.

The only steering wheels I like are OEM and the TRD. Everything else is kinda meh. I wonder if it would be possible to switch that new steering wheel out for one of the current models? hmmmm

I don't see why not. Steering column is still the same I believe.

I have a Golf R and know exactly what it feels like. It's really not much thicker, and if it were combined with the quick rack of the BRZ, it would be gold.

Not a fan of steering controls on a sporty car. The only new things I like are the headlights and wheels.
