I had them note how the install went. Front lip went on fine. They added extra screws, so it's not going anywhere. Rear spats went on fine. The side skirts, however, were a PITA. The 3M tape provided is crappy and doesn't stick. The skirts are too lose and don't mount up tight to the side of the car. Relative to each other, the passenger side was easier to mount than the driver's side, which they found fairly odd.

I had the shop install them because they have tons of experience with lip kits and I wanted them to have this experience under their belt, plus I wanted to share the info with you guys. I mean, for the price I can live with the knock off kit, but if I ever found a decent deal on the authentic STI lip kit I think I'd jump on it strictly for fit and finish. Just not worth $1,830.99 shipped.

OH! And it's important to note that when I took a drive up the mountains after having it installed we came across very high winds and they made my side skirts flap very loudly. I heard it a tiny bit on the highway, but I think crosswinds are required to produce the noise. Just be aware of that. If you can wash the sides really well and get some 3M strips from the store that fit better, I think you'd be good.

I paid $200 to have mine installed, in case anyone was wondering. Installation wasn't trouble-free.

Painted my replica oem rear diffuser today to WRB, it is currently sitting in my garage and I will assess it tonight/tomorrow. I did get a bit hasty in applying coats so I had a few runs develop. I am hoping that they will wind up being in places that won't be noticed. Tomorrow I shall find out for sure.

Search the user Prorican (I think that's how it's spelled). He has a CS-style kit I think (or HTA) but it's painted to match his white car.

OEM Armrest. LOVE IT! Some complained about the height. Being a tall people it is absolutly perfect for me. Enough to rest on without it being a crutch. Was also about having to lift the lid for drinks. Even Sonic's Route 44 drinks fit perfectly without touching. Took about 22min to install. Looks clean, now to rewire my usb port into it so I can hide my ipod/phone.

But curious... do you think these kids maliciously damaged your car, or just being dumb kids, one of them leaned on it and it caused the damage? Do you think your spoiler design was more prone to accidental damage of this kind than an OEM spoiler?

Really sucks, man.

I don't think it was intentional, just ignorance. I've cooled off since then a bit after the birrage of jokes I've had to endue at the shop. "Too much downforce bro!~"

I was able to spring most of the damage out. However the cracks are still there and if not fixed it will eventually = rust. I really fear taking this spoiler off the car, all that 3m tape was a bitch last time. I may have to tack weld in some thicker metal behind the sheet metal inside the trunk to prevent this in the future. Also most FRS/BRZ spoilers mount the the bit just behind my center mount's position. Due to the contour and bends, that area's metal is much stronger than the topside.

Here is after popping the damage out. Just 3 cracks and a slight "halo" around the center support showing where the dent was/is.

The spoiler being high up and hanging past the rear of the car is what likely made this happen, I'm sure it was because the leverage. Keep in mind the spoiler's mounts are on the outside. The center support is only to stabilize the spoiler. The metal behind it is very flimsy as there is no support/structure behind it.
