To be on topic, after getting a fix-it ticket I decided to just zip tie my plate:

Blue ones! I really didn't want to spend money on the GrimmSpeed kit and I couldn't find my bracket that comes with the car. @OrbitalEllipses said he'd give me his, but that takes time. I still will probably end up taking his and doing the genius magnetic mod.

If you want to get a super dark tint, talk to your optometrist and get a prescription for it.

I have about 10% tint all around on my car and I have a doctor's note to show them if I ever get pulled over for it. I've never had any issues with my tint though and I've had them for over 5 years now

People have done this for years in Alaska. For a while the cops are wising up to it and still handing out tickets, but I haven't heard of anyone being harassed about it despite a prescription for a few years now.

I will be completely honest, I do suffer from night blindness pretty bad and I have very sensitive eyes that water all the time. During the summer the sun never goes down and during the winter the sun reflects all over the snow and headlights blind. Once I got the front windshield done I felt 10x better driving around at night. I could see more of the cars around me instead of just lights shining everywhere.

I'll talk to my doctor about it since I need a new prescription anyways. Thanks!

No! Don't drill that bumper!

I recommend saving for the GS mount. If I ever get a ticket, I'll buy that right away. Until then, I'm keepin the bumper clean. You know, except for the occasional rock chip...

Well isn't the magnetic mod just drilling underneath? I don't mind that so much...

No drilling for magnetic license plate just tape and/or glue

hmmm that's not a half bad idea ....my grill is essentially zip tied in. I have a tow hook plate relocation mount but it looks kinda silly off to the side like that.

I think the slim black license plate hides the tackiness.

Just lemme know when you want me to ship it...and actually let me find it. I know I still have it.

Yup; glue on the backside of the bumper (engine bay) for the magnets.

Installed Valenti tail lights. All I can say is that they look sinister on the CBS color car. Pics don't do them complete justice.
