RE71Rs for grocery runs. When you absolutely, positively just HAVE to out corner that grandma across the parking lot in the Prius C.

Lower control arm end gave out backing down my buddies driveway. Got new ends from the manufacturer. Went to do the swap, figured it would be pretty easy. Then I notice the oil under the car. Looks like the wheel had cocked pulling the axle out of the differential.
No problem, just pop it back in. Hm won't go back in. Turns out the spline had not fully come out but just barely held on with the end of its teeth. Which is bad. So it mashed the end of the spline pretty good and now it wouldn't go in. Also damaged the oil seal on that side. Soo I removed the differential entirely to get it on the bench and the axle. Once I realized axles were 350.00 (holy shit) I went into fix it mode. After an hour of bench filing on the spline I got it to fit back into the differential fairly well. Ordered new oil seals and of course have to wait a week for them to come in. Love the car, dislike the lack of part availability. Nice being able to just go up the road for my mustang lol. Overall fun day.

The CS doesn't have "winglets" at all, it's a bit of an illusion. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of how is ends abruptly. I think the ST style may look a little cleaner in that regard but to me the winglets almost make it look like you need side skirts to go with it to continue that line down the side. I was torn between the two...

I did one of those Bayson R CS lips too. Pretty sure it'll come off at some point due to my driveway :/ lol
You can't really use anything better than the screws/clips it comes with without removing the bumper cover, except on the ends you can get a hand up behind it and use 8 and 10mm nuts and bolts instead. . |
