In static tires guys defense, I have noticed an abnormally high amount of static from my car. I attributed it to the paint or some other more modernized mechanism that I hadn't been exposed to in the past as the newest car I ever owned was a 2000. I noticed it more after washes so I figured the clean paint was more inclined to gather static from the air when there wasn't dirt in the way

The type of material of the seat and the fact you slide across it more than many cars does not help for static either.
