For the first time in 5 days, I walked out to my car without having to clean up bird poop off it.

Granted, it was a bit more cloudy and sprinkled a little throughout the afternoon.

@Ultramaroon

I may be headed down to Portland sometime this summer after I buy the suspension stuff.

Want to use DarrenDriven's shop to install the stuff, and dont want to pay a shop $$$ to do it. I know I can probably do it myself at home but eh.... Plus, for a little over $100 and a case of beer, its a deal! Also, its an excuse to hang with the Portland folks again

I finally managed to vinyl wrap my interior pieces. This is the first time in over a month that all the trim pieces have been in place.

And I don't like country, but Sturgill Simpson is actually pretty good.

Keeping my sanity this week have been really tough. Shit after another shit, it's been emotionally and physically tough. Stress, frustration, anger, pressure and knowing that I can't do shit feeling punching me every second. But today's shit was tough one to handle (& sadly won't be solved for few days)

Am I depressed? idk, tbh I don't got a time to be depressed. I was mentally and physically tired, not depressed.

BUT I saw this package, it made my whole week.

My teacher and a friend; Moto-san have send me a lovely package.

Sorry for the rant, but had to get it out of my system. Prep for another crazy day... but I'll survive.

The stuff I left in bold. I selected a turn key engine specifically so I'd have everything new I'd need. All the lines and the wiring harness I'd need come with it. So that's at least a little less headache.

And that was the first RX7 I found. I could potentially find a better one. That also being said, none of my calculations included suspension and support, but I knew it was a edge pushing cost. Paint and finish could come later, though. So I wouldn't worry about that right away.

It is still a 30 year old car and a better one is going to cost more keeping the price about the same. The engine swap may have what sounds like a nice easy "kit" but this is not as simple as bolting in some parts and driving away. When I said lines I did not mean just the ones for the engine. Every single thing that carries fluids is going to have to be changed. Sure a harness comes for the engine but it is not just going to be a plug in no matter how "turn key" they make it.

Haha that's depressing. Hopefully in the future when I finally get around to having a project car it doesn't utterly eat me alive.

See that is just it with project cars, they do eat people alive!
It looks so simple when you see little snippets of projects on the internet but you do not see all the anguish that got to that15 minute video. All the TV shows about restorations/modifications do not help eliminate the perception it is easy either. They haul a piece of junk in at the start of the show and half an hour later a show car is unveiled. What we don't see (unless they want us to) is the intervening months of 20 highly trained and specialized people cursing the the project as every possible issue turns up and the pile of money thrown at it.
In the real world the percentage of dream projects that actually ever get completed is probably very, very small!
