That's why I go in at 7:00am which is 1.5 to 2 hours earlier than everyone else shows up. I get 80% of my useful work done during that time.

My biggest issue with coming in early is that our company president usually doesn't come in till 12:30 and usually wants to follow up with me in the afternoon after he has lunch on the status of things that are going on with all our supply chain issues. I'd like to come in at about 7 and leave by 4 but a lot of the things he likes to run by me are things he likes to discus without other office staff here. He, and our GM like to keep certain things a secret for some reason, which is the biggest complaint of the employees here.

Yes except that on occasion someone else is also randomly in the building and you see a quick shadow or hear a random clank in the distance and you get put on edge, lol.

The motion lights in the warehouse start going off. We are about 200 yards from a Native American burial ground too ![]() Funny story from about a year ago. I was working on building some ramps for my car trailer and was here really late at night. I heard a noise that sounded like people where on the roof. I was slowly walking around the building trying to pinpoint where it was coming from ready to call the police. When I opened the door to look around I could hear fireworks from the local minor league baseball stadium. It was echoing and sounded like people were stomping around on the roof.

I'm at the park with the sun hitting my eyes and I swear at first I read "rate your cook" as "rate your cock".
So I can only assume you were smoking/bbq'ing some poultry.
