I went to RSA once for my old job. Didn't even have any duties since I was an engineer, just walk around and learn about various companies in the industry, etc.

Me being fresh out of college, I still loved my free shit.

As I walk around with my coworkers, each booth has something cool they're giving away! Free tshirts! Free thermos! Etc.

Of course, they need to scan your RSA badge first so they can get your corporate email.

I thought nothing of it.

For the next 2-3 years I had people _constantly_ sending me personalized emails (to my work email) to try out their company's software, etc., because for some reason even though my job title in my RSA registration was that I was an engineer, they thought I was someone with purchasing power for the company, lmao.

Never again. I threw out/donated like two tote bags full of probably 50+ tshirts I decided I didn't even want after getting them there.

Unfortunately though IIRC I couldn't because registration was like free/automated since my company was a sponsor or whatever. I don't think I really manually put in any info.

Doesn't sound even close to the noise mine made. Sounds more like a rattle of some sort. The TOB is usually an unmistakable whine or squeal.
