red should always mean it's charging.

green means it's charged.

if it starts blinking, it's too late. 007 has already marked you for dead.

I had just never seen one of these cells with built in BMS before. I spent like 10 minutes digging the instructions out of the trash so I could find the charging port on the flashlight before I noticed the micro usb on the cell.

Yeah, mixed feeling about battery-side charging. In one respect, it makes the devices safer and slightly more compact.

But it also requires space in the battery, which reduces overall battery capacity.

Honestly, I poured over my acebeam stuff, and got a headache from the chingrish. It took me another 3-4 reads to figure out how to activate the modes they were trying to describe

I'm back. Thanks to everyone who PM me to wish the best &/or checking to make sure I'm alive.

Extremely long story into extremely short story, aunt passed away. A lot of emotional rollercoaster and a lot of stress last 2 weeks. It ended not the way I wanted & do have a regret. Can't keep myself in negative emotion & need to move on.

So did I miss anything interesting?

it get easier to deal with as time marches on, but it doesn't get easier.

nothing really here. press embargo is lifting, so there's 'new' official info on the 2nd gen. tcoat's taking a vacation from us, and the covid thread is still a shitshow.
