Loved that movie, those are cool and I am glad they did practical effects, but I heard those things were absolute rattle traps. I remember reading they had a hard time keeping everything running during shooting.

The magic of movies. I'm sure every blower etc. is fake, and like most movie props, made as cheap as possible.

I have to look this movie up. Only mad max I ever watched was the original.
