Reminds me of the time, back in 1968, when I moved into a brand new apartment in San Jose, off of SW Expressway.

The cable/antenna box was prewired into the apartment. All we had was a small, B&W portable TV, sitting on a TV tray. Since the rabbit ears just weren't getting decent reception, I decided to hook into the box on the wall. Then I found out how much it cost and couldn't afford it ..... because we were saving up for a bed - out apartment was unfurnished.

So, I thought I could just tap into the box and no one would be the wiser. I did so and the TV reception was fantastic! However, the next morning was a Saturday and all the neighbors were down in the managers office bitching that they didn't have any TV reception.

As I watched the repair crew moving through the complex, it dawned on me .... maybe I had done something to the system by "tapping" into it -

I quickly disconnected my TV and put all the wires in the box in the wall back to where they were. Yep, all at once, everybody got their TV signal back.

Nope! I never told anybody there, what I had done. -
Not so worried about having a technician come and set things up. Mostly figuring out service company to go with and dealing with possibly breaking off the current contract and starting a new one elsewhere.

That sure sounds like some OG hacking!

Not quite as bad as when we moved into an air conditioned apartment in July (read hot and humid) in Louisville, KY and the power wasn't turned on.

I went down to the managers office to get it turned on. He said since it was a Friday night, he couldn't get it turned on until Monday morning.

So I took my handful of tools out behind the apartment building, found the box that didn't have the little wheel spinning around in it, "opened" it up and turned on the power.

Under power engine load causes the suspension to resist compression. Lowering the arm reduces the anti-squat characteristic and allows the suspension to work more "freely" under engine load. It should improve suspension dampening under power and increase traction under power which is essentially what they claim. Pretty much opposite of what they are trying to accomplish with MTB rear suspension to prevent pedal bob.

Meh... I'm strapped to my computer all day and we talk freely about that too. They get out on their bikes often enough. I just worry - probably unnecessarily.

Anti-squat feels cool but, like you said, it's not THAT big of a deal.

Yeah, I’ve been searching around online last night, but didn’t get much data

Thanks. The real beauty was that I could walk to the end of my driveway and turn right to go down to the creek, fields and woods. We could follow the creek all the way to the second marsh and Lake Ontario. A nice days outing for young boys.
Or... I could turn left and walk a block to the Oshawa Town Line, get on a bus and be in downtown in under 20 minutes. Yep, the best of both worlds.

Well, it had 3 lights, so I bought 3 replacements. The old ones were all different colors, half flickering or burnt out bulbs, broken covers, and humming like crazy. Here is the before shot.

After I get the third one up, you will need sunglasses to go in there.

Heck, with the right kind of bulbs, you could use that room as a tanning room -
