this is not a political statement, just laughing at the irony of how some truly believe that a country lacking any law enforcement will be better than it is now...

Figured it was a pebble or something. Turns out it wasn't a pebble, it was a bee, and it fell down to the bottom back of the driver's seat.

A couple of minutes later when I shifted my weight it thought I was trying to squish it, probably because I was squishing it, and it stung me right in the middle of my lower back. It took a moment to process what happened and I finally thought to pull over in a parking lot since the pain wasn't going away.

Got out of the car, felt my back, and saw the nearly dead bee still on the bottom of the seat. Amusingly I was too much of a wuss to take the bee off the seat with my hands, so got the tweezers from my pocket knife, carefully picked it up, dropped it on the parking lot, and then euthanized it with my foot for far longer than I probably needed to. Thankfully was able to get the stinger out and am home now, but its starting to swell. Time to take some Benadryl and then promptly pass out.
I have had some similar incidents. Had one bounce off my riding jacket and sting me in the chin while on the motorcycle. Had one go down my riding jersey on the dirtbike. My buddy got one in his helmet once, that looks like it sucked.

you know how all those movies and books about the future where we discover some way to populate other worlds, that these other worlds, despite having similar populations and size as earth are always governed by a single entity?

i look at this video, realize that we're no closer to resolving any issues over the past 20 years as we were back then, and take a deep shaky breath in the knowledge that we'll as a species will likely never get off this rock, and even if we do, aliens will likely desroy our ships just to limit the rate of infection...

You cannot kill a school full of kids with a hammer.

A cowardly mentality deficient idiot with a gun can though.

The whole gun mentality in America is really hard to understand.

It's like the NRA dudes are all from that TV show "doomsday preppers".

Lead by that senile old Omega man.

After consulting Google I feel comfortable saying it was indeed a bee. Now it is a smudge in a parking lot.
Just be glad it wasn't one of these things that have recently found in Washington -

Yep, they specialize in killing honey bees, but their sting has been known to kill humans.

When I find a huntsman spider in the house I will go to great lengths to save it so I can take it outside because they're really awesome spider.

But I was really quite surprised, I mean really surprised, when I pulled down the sun visor and there was this having a bit of a rest. It disappeared down one of the air vents never to be seen again.
