Yes they did. The wife worked for a Dodge/Chrysler/Eagle dealer back then.
Side note; The Mitsubishi 3000GT & Dodge Stealth were built in Japan at the Nagoya plant. As such they are not part of DSM.

Yeah, that is a pretty common size. I don't know how you plan on mounting it but I have mine off my car right now if you need some measurements. I am making new mounts because I was not a fan of the mounting solution they used.

I’m good on the measurement... but do need some feedback on mounting. I have fully looked into mounting positions. Few things I need to check are
1. How far forward I wanna go (before or pass LCA?)
2. How to attaching to lip while mounting something solid.
3. Do I need extender to mount them

Those are 3 things I need to figure out. I’m pretty sure I gotta figure out other things

Most mount to the subframe just behind the LCA's. Mine from Driveway Labs mounts behind the sway bar bushings which I hate. I am making new mounting tabs to mount it to the lower part of the subframe. I will likely have to drill into it.

I'd recommend making backing plates and riveting them to the bumper where the diffuser will mount. I have seen a few such as mine, that just use the plastic retainers to mount to the bumper, but they pull out easily.

Not sure what you mean by extender. I will share some photos with you when I make the changes.

Loads for sale on the internet. Dirt cheap too. Looks like you could get a decent one for under $5,000. And of course the couple of "I know what I have" guys that want $40K for theirs.

No they were not part of the DSM crowd. They were just another of the many non DSM Chrysler, Mitsubishi joint ventures going on through that era.

New tub is in, and getting warm. It came 110v, so I had to convert to 220v. Wasn't too bad, just remove a jumper, a couple switches on the board, and remove the 110 cord. Can't wait till it's up to temp!

haha. at 110, it would be up to 70 degrees by september. and then the cold front would knock it down to 65.
