technically i've had it since about august, 2019. i tentatively installed it for a week in september because i was getting tired of looking at it in the box, and was hoping that by installing it, it would better motivate me to modify it the way i originally planned if i had to look at it all the time.

after a week, the adhesive bolts started pulling up-- i assume due to them using knock-off 3M double sided tape, though i really don't know. when i finally took it off, only 1 of the 8 mounting points was still stuck down, and only barely.

i'm overall happy with the quality for what it costs compared to the TRD version. the plastic is chunky, and could likely be better trimmed to fit the window, but it's less than $200...

so it's hung up in the garage since, waiting on parts and time to modify it the way i want it, potentially altering the mounting bolts to better stay in place.

but i should be clear-- i intended to modify it when i first placed the order, and that didn't really change much after getting it, i just intend to do a little more thurough modifications to make it suit me better. but it's $1,000 cheaper than TRD, so i'm not offended, or is it unexpected.

oh, i wish i could get emissions over with. i can't go until i get the renewal notice. and the renewal notice didn't show up until right after the state went into lockdown and they shut all the emissions places down. but then i can't renew my plates until i go through emissions..

they've extended renewals until june, but i'm the kind of person that i don't like seeing bills and invoices hanging around, waiting to be paid. i just want them over!
