Yea, could have made something up but it was really convoluted when you got introduced to them. "Hey, this is my step-sister/wife, and my StepDad/Father in Law".

Hmmm now that I think about it, I am in the South....

Yep, I understand the reason why in the south, they go by two names (like Billy Bob) so as to reduce the possible confusion within the same county -

5 brothers! damn! But we had grandmother, mother and son did work (of course in different departments). One point had 3 sibling: 2 were managers in different departments.

They’ve never taken anything for granted, been smart and responsible with money, and have taken their work very, very seriously. And I picked up on a lot of that.

Some people get shit handed to them and never learn the value of hard work. It’s sad to see people bitch about having to do the work they literally applied for. I think missing work constantly is unacceptable. Yes I understand things happen, but you have to draw the line somewhere. People count on you to show up and get things done.
so around the same time you posted this, i was learning that the newest hire officially gave notice he's quitting. after 2.5 months. one of his bigger gripes was 'insufficient starting pay'. it's funny because he likely would have gotten a small bump at 3 months as he came off the trial period. and then would have gotten another more substantial bump at 1 yr.

but he just ain't got time fo' dat. because him existing and knowing nothing is somehow more valuable than the rest of us...

funny you mention this. was reading this hackaday article during lunch, and this comment is exactly about cheap simple plc's.

i was looking at those, trying to decide if they're worth it. are you paying for the recording, or is it a 'viewing only' free account?

you're going to have to clarify the age of this one! if the other one was 20, is this one 16?

It's been interesting day...
it depends on the family dynamics, but usually it's no big deal. my dad and i work at the same place with 3-4 total employee's, so our family makes up 50% of the company! we don't work together on the job very often, but routinely call to bounce idea's off each other because either of us will answer the phone before the boss does. if anything, it's brought us closer together to be able to talk about the same jobs/customers than before.

now my estranged brother.... well, i don't think we could get along long enough to agree how to open an package with a perforated tear-off strip.

Well, although she is just over 3 years old, she calls herself a "three-ager" and in her mind, that means she IS going on 16 -

That's all depends on what you gonna use it for. App is free, streaming is free, you can share it with others and as long as you have memory card in there, you can play back any time you want. It does have few extra feature with it, if you pay the fee (which I don't use, so IDC). For $25 (each), I think it's pretty good... but again, idk much bout all those privacy and security blah blah blah, you might want to look into it deeper if you care bout those things.

Hold on - this is exciting!

The door latch from the garage door into the house is stuck open (so it won't latch shut).

I have a piece of duck tape holding it closed right now. Yes, I've tried to fix it. Yes, I have purchased a new latch. I've looked at the directions and the picture shows a housewife in high heeled shoes, in a short skirt, holding a Phillips screwdriver and it says that's all I need to install it.

mrs humfrs took the 3 grandchildren out to Target to buy them some new PJ's because tomorrow is PJ day at school and their PJs are ratty. So, the house is quiet and I have a chicken roasting in the oven.

So, I think I'll just kick back in my recliner, put on some music and wait for the foxy housewife to arrive with the screwdriver.

That must have been what I looked like to the people in the waiting room at the orthodontist office yesterday, when I took my granddaughter. While she was getting her braces adjusted, I dozed off.

When she was done she tapped me on the knee and I half bolter out of the chair with a big yell. The people in the waiting room had wide eyed looks on their faces, then laughed. I asked them if I had been snoring and this one lady said "a little bit". My granddaughter was embarrassed - we left quickly.

You obviously abused it!

Put it on an oak stump in a clearing in the woods on a sunny day, it will recharge to be like new. Yep, it's true, the internet told me so.

PS - how did the home inspection go?
