That was my favorite thing as a teenager was buying throw away cars at the junkyard and calling them to pick them up when anything major broke. It's too risky for me now but if I ever have a job where I don't have a long commute I will totally go back to that. I would literally ride back to the yard on the wrecker to pick out a "new" car hahaha

that's a good damned question. I think a lot of it is the leadership has been in it so long they just don't care to rock the boat b/c they are getting close to retirement, they're making a very high salary and they don't want to mess with their status quo.

it's irritating because we could be making a chit ton of money but nobody even wants to do something as simple as be honest with what the time of their guys gets charged to. ie: labor codes for different parts of the job. we can't be expected to be able to bid a job properly if we don't know what it actually takes to build one. They've been told time and time again to just put in the time properly so we can know what it actually takes to build something and every time they lie even though they have been told they won't get in trouble for it. which is strange because they do so many other things like show up drunk that they're not supposed to do that and honestly should get fired for it.

Update: Posted the video detailing selling my oil on Instagram Saturday and have made two sales so far. I also have 3 buddies that want to buy my oil as well. That brings my total sales up to 7 and my goal is at least 20 bottles.

Back in Missouri, I bought a 1979 Chevrolet Caprice Classic as a "throw away" car as my airport car. I was living in Saint Louis and working in Chicago.

I drove it for a year each weekend as I commuted to the airport and back. When I took a job in Washington, I decided to drive it from Saint Louis to Seattle. Then when my daughter turned 16 she drove it for two years.

I paid $800 for it and sold it for $700. The only maintenance cost was for a set of tires and new brakes.

When I see stuff like this, I do not wonder why the US is less and less competitive.

Er, how much is it to fill a high-performance gas car? Premium here is going for about $4.40/gallon. Electricity at the top rate is maybe $.40/kwh. It was actually $38, but they have some weird, scammy system of pre-charging your credit card so there's about $12 of credit in my account with them now. It ended up being about $.80 per kwh, so twice as much as the peak rate at home, but also five times faster. Plus now power at home.

OK.

Don't forget to apply for a composition of matter patent.

Apply for company LLC status.

Look into leasing a formulation facility.

Line up sources of raw materials.

Contract for bottling, labeling and packaging.

Develop pricing, distribution and advertising strategies.

Yikes that's a lot of steps. Before I do all that I have to confirm I even have a market/customer base. And even then I'm pretty lazy so I don't know if i could force myself to go the official route.

And what range did you get for your $38, that's the important part.

I was reading some feedback/comments on one of the Tesla/EV news sites from an article about the outages from a guy who owns two EVs as his only cars and how he was now going to go buy an ICE as a backup because he can't charge either of his cars enough to get them somewhere else.

Of course, you could run into the same problem with ICE, but at least it's easier/cheaper to keep extra fuel around.

One allergic reaction and the lawsuit could break you for life if you don't have a registered company to hide behind!
