Actually, in my case it's the grass grows and covers them in the front (Bermuda grass) and in the back they get tripped over by the dog, or run over by the lawn mower when the kids did it.

I think part of my problem here is the well water is very hard, and that tends to take its toll on them. Whatever the problem, I've found it is best just to spend $12 and swap out the guts. Takes about a minute with the right tool.

Hells bells, no wonder people are having problems with them - the newer ones are waaay over engineered! You could pump sand through the older ones. Back-in-the-day, the "special tool" was a crescent wrench -

Yea, also everything is plastic these days. Most of them are just out of adjustment, or dirty. But sometimes you pull one, clean, everything looks good and it still just doesn't want to work. Time to pop in a new one.

I was thinking the same thing, where the heck do you put all the hose? And you would want one for upstairs and downstairs. I also don't like the idea of the power unit having to be in my garage. Then I looked at the price of them. I think lightweight portables is the way to go.

I think the one we have now is a Dysen ball thing. It is only a couple years old and starting to make strange noises.

We have a central vac. The hose sits in a closet most of the time. When there's something to suck up, though, it's about as powerful as a shop vac. It can also store a massive amount of junk. It's been years since I emptied it. We have a cleaner come for actual regular vacuuming.

I believe the dealer term is 'branded title' because they've got to make everything difficult to justify their existence.

My parents insisted i learn to drive with their suburban. It's done a lot of good, as almost nothing I've driven since has been much larger or less cumbersome.

Or a chrysler lebaron. They're just as large, cumbersome, and have just as poor of a turning radius despite it appearing to be a 2 door coupe.

My bet is the system stopped working somewhere and they just capped it off.

He is learning in a 4 door 4x4 Dodge Ram. They are big, but easy to drive.
