Can your trees be saved if watered and/or thinned out? Of course the part of the one that is leaning on the deck needs to be whacked off.

So, when do you get your new HVAC?

Have they hit you with the IPT tax (Idaho Potato Tax) yet?

humfrz
Well, at least the 911 won't need testing, so I won't have to take the headers off.

New hvac goes in a week from monday.

No potato tax yet.

I did find a store in downtown Caldwell a couple miles from my house ran by this family farm. I can get something that was illegal in California: Raw milk, both cow and goat! I just might have to get back into making cheese.

The 104th annual rodeo was last week, county fair this week. Busy place.

I have a welder coming this morning to remove and discard my basketball hoop. Yay.

Looks like a good base to start with, unless it goes way up at the end. I'm with you, I like the second gen better.

Needs furmica.

Going to install a roof patio?

Oh yes, the garbage disposal has been leaking for about a week. Nope, not at a connection or where it attaches to the sink. It's hemorrhaging internally and dripping out the bottom.

So, I put a little bucket under it. Fixed that -

Not really -

So, I went out and bought a new one today. Hell, they can run as high as $400 - However, I figure this $109. one that I bought will grind stuff up OK.

Tomorrow, I will attempt to install it. I'm finding that with my poor eyesight and my old, inflexible body, working under a sink is difficult....

humfrz
oh, they go much higher in cost than that!

as an electrician that's getting neither younger or slimmer that has had to do the electrical connections on too many disposals after they're installed, i generally find it easiest to take the sink doors off, and lay on the floor in front of the cabinet, with an led light inside the cabinet--halogen or incandescent bulbs in such a small space become roaster ovens, making the misery even worse!

it also can help if you find a box to lay on that's roughly the same height as the toe kick.

and take breaks whenever your arms are tired, which is often.

I think our new company slogan should be “getting hammered with customers.” Boarding my 8th flight this week. At least it’s the one that’s taking me home.

DAMN! If I would have to pay $1,100 for a garbage disposal, I'd buy a piglet to keep in the back yard and just throw the stuff off the deck for the pig to eat, like we did back on the farm. Then, when the pig reached 200 pounds, we would have a pig roast, then buy another piglet.

Good hints, thank you. I'm going to start with a break - my arms feel tired just thinking about it. -
