This is why I love Canadians, if you are going to sell us something it's to raise us up, not bring us down.

I was only going to be gone 3 days so I told him I'd take care of feeding his fish tank when I got back. Turns out the heater went out and the dorm room got to below freezing for two days. The fish all just perked up like nothing had happened.

Time for my fish story. I was about in the 3-4th grade and we had a fish tank in our classroom. The girls (mostly) brought in "exotic" fish (like goldfish) and put them in the tank. I couldn't afford store bought fish, but I did find four little fish in the half frozen pond on our farm.

So, on a Friday, I brought them in and put them in the tank. Come Monday morning, the girls were horrified to see their pretty fish with the tails and fins eaten off and most of them were dead. My fish were all fat and happy.

If I were to cut down all the trees on our lot, I could start a lumber company. The only ones that I have had removed was a very large cottonwood in the front, because it shed big ugly leaves, that glued themselves to the driveway. The other one was a 80 foot tall pine tree that was leaning toward the house.

Trees like that in the UK, next to properties spells one thing.. subsidence!! Homes requiring very expensive foundation shoring and trees given drastic haircuts...

Well most of our foundations are not 800+ years old. I watch Time Team so I know what your houses are built on top of!

Possibly why the trees grow so well.. lots of nutritional stuff in the soil..
