Resorted to thinking about exhaust bits again... I'm thinking JDL catted UEL header. Not sure who else has a catted one and the threads are all sorts of messy.

Family beach vacation. We have a house rented on Myrtle Beach and the immediate family will be there most of the week.
My plan is to sit on the covered deck facing the ocean, listen to audio books and nap when I'm not either playing with the grandbaby or "letting" my sons beat me at some game. Of course, there will be way too much food, drink and mini-golf I suspect.

Needed to move the back of the 4Runner over to push it the rest of way under the cover. Decided to use a high-lift and just push it over. Maxed out the lift and the tires are still touching.

I also suggest getting to whatever local cars and coffee or BRZ/FRS/86 meet you can to see if you can hear some of the options in person. Make sure you want an exhaust system that loud and in that tone well before you spend the money. YouTube is a good resource, but it isn't the same. |

Any recommendation for lube/grease? My sway bar start making noise and I'm assuming lube/grease on sway bar mount is dried out.

I use the spray white lithium. I don't think it is ideal, but I have heim joints on my LCA's and toe arms so I just hit them, and use the little straw to push some into the sway bar bushing. Seems to help, I do this about every 6 months.

Many suspension components including the sway bars (FCA parts at any rate) come with the lithium grease already on the joints we then add more when we assemble them. It is actually a great choice.

I've used this on my garage door hinges and worked great. Seems like it would work well on suspension parts also. Just be sure to wipe off the excess or it will get funky. |

I always figured that with something that is exposed to collecting dirt it would be best to lube little, and lube often to mitigate crud build up. |

I would get it tuned, but I was thinking shop/dyno tuned. Not sure if I still have to take them something like OFT though. No inspections in my state so not worried about sniff or visual, but I already have an old test pipe I meant to sell, but since I still have it I figured I'd just use it, so I wanted to go catted header to keep it quiet and not pollute too much. I've watched plenty of YouTube videos and I'm pretty sure I know the combo I want. JDL being one of few catted headers is how it caught my eye in the first place. Where else is a good place for 86 parts aside from Speedfactory?

I've personally bought from CounterSpace Garage and Xero Limit (used to be Moto East) with no complaints. Both were really patient with me asking stupid questions with self-depreciating humor in them, offering good advice in return. |

If you're getting an expensive custom tune, a catted header is really not the way to go. I swear my car has a subtle lope at idle on the Ace350... And that power curve...
